Reptilian Goddess
So unexpectedly, one of my roomies produced an almost mint condition 20L with locking lid. Can you imagine my surprize when she told me she'd been hiding it in our bike shed? (Yes this is what I get for not taking the bike out and getting exercise more often...:sidestep:)

She gave it to me and let me tell you, Kitty was sooooo happy to get bumped up! She is a very very very active snake so I felt horrible with her in the 15gal (I meant to buy a 20 but it's a long story where I just end up looking lame so I'll spare you :headbang:)

Anyway so that meant Wookie, who is growing like a weed, got bumped to the 15gal. And despite the fact that he never comes out, he's already been going crazy in this larger tank; he has a bunch of tunnels through the substrate already

And guess who didn't get to move up just yet? Kiowa. I moved his tank next to my bed, which I love. But he just came out, looked around, and gave me the evil eye. Lol so he'll just have to wait for the show in september to move up, if he can be patient. :poke:

I like the scape you setup in your vivs they look great! How do you clean the silk plants?

Awesome score! I know this may be somewhat painful to hear.. but consiter getting a 40gal breeder for Kitty, and then move up your other snakes accordingly. She looks like she could use a good 40gal.

That's just my opinion, although I know the "more space than is recommended" opinion is shared by some on the forum. ;)

LMAO! LOL! :roflmao:

Lol yeah he's a punk. But he forgave me yesterday and came out to watch me play video games. I swear he stared at the TV for at least 20 min. Lol

Thanks for all the compliments.

Well about the plants, I usually use a very diluted bleach solution for the silk plants and I let them sit outside in the sun (when there is sun in Nor Cal) for extra bacteria-killing. But usually the snakes never defecate on them or really even use them. Usually I use them as a hide on the cool side and the snakes burrow in the substrate under the leaves.

Also I have been thinking myself that Kitty could use to upgrade to a 40. I've been pricing them =) She's so active that I really think she would appreciate the space. Usually I take her out a couple times a week and let her crawl around the backyard under my supervision so she gets tons of exercize. Let me tell you, I think she would make good use of the space in a 40. =)

I'm going to the reptile show in Sactown in a month so we'll see what I bring home tank wise. :devil01:
