LOL. That's good for me since I missed the first week. Give me a chance to "catch up". Now I gotta get some of the others to "miss" a game. LOL.

However, this week HURTS!!! Esp. after the Cowboy loss, but also because I lost some "for sure" ones (Washington losing to St. Louis / Denver losing to Jacksonville?).

I wish I knew about this thread earlier, I would have loved to make picks. I would have been wrong on quite a few today for sure. Rams over Redskins, Cardinals over Cowboys, Buc's over Panthers. But let's make Super Bowl pics for fun, even though it's early.

I'll go with Giants over Jets (and no I'm not a NY fan). The AFC seems wide open, but I think the Giants can make a repeat if they keep playing this well. I picked the Jets because I think they will make the playoffs, maybe even take their division. And I see no other AFC contenders that can handle the playoff atmosphere if it's cold, because the Jets have Brett (played in cold a** lambo), a good O-line, defense, and solid run game.
But two teams that can easily take the Jets if they improve is Indy and Denver. IND just needs more consistency, and they should be the easy favorite in the AFC. But if Denver gets a run game going, and tightens up on defense, they will be a powerhouse. Similairly for the NFC too though. The Panthers need more consistency, and they can go deep. But if the Cowboys make fewer mistakes, and tighten up on defense, they can be an unstoppable force.

Cowboys are in TROUBLE! If they can't get a game ahead of Washington, they lose the tie breaker and are out (that is if the Giants win the division - which it looks like they will). NFC East is the best/toughest Division in Football today.

Denver... I really love them, but with Jake Cutler ALREADY comparing himself to John Elway... he's really making me ill. Sure, a QB should be confident and all... but really? What good QB does that (except for Fran Tarkenton)? You never heard Elway saying, "If I were in Joe Montana's shoes we'd STILL be winning Superbowls". There are MANY people who believe that (including me!), but John never said that. You don't hear Romo comparing himself to Staubach or Aikman (although I think he's on his way)... Really, Jake Cutler??? Get some humility man!!!

I thought it WAS kinda funny that they lost today after he made that comparison about himself. Then I remembered that I LOVE Denver too!

As for Superbowl Picks... I'd LOVE to see a Denver/Dallas Superbowl... or even an Colts/Giants Superbowl (Manning/Manning) but it'll likely be... Chargers/Giants. Chargers seem to be clicking now. These are my "brain" picks. If I had to pick with my heart... Cowboys/Colts or Cowboys/Broncos. LOL.

I picked Giants Chargers a couple of weeks ago, and I still feel they have the talent, but again it comes back to consistency. The Giants are playing flat out amazing, and they have been without one of the best defensive players in the league, Osi Umeniora, all season. Eli Manning has been really proving himself, and smoked a Seahawks team without top 5 WR Plaxico Burress. It's so hard to predict the AFC, because of inconsistency by every contender. But based on the games played, the Giants have been nearly perfect. The NFC is similair except for NYG. WAS lost to STL, Dal is hot and cold, and their D allows way too many points, and everyone else hasn't been amazing either.
I agree with you 100% about Cutler, he is way too arrogant. He's great don't get me wrong, but he's a selfish leader, and can't rally his team the way the great QB's can.

O.M.G. The week of upsets topped off by CLEVELAND beating the GIANTS???? Game's still on so I don't know the final score, but there's no way the Giants can catch up... 35-14 with 2:30 left????

Goodness. Picks went down, but no one gained with this game... everyone picked Giants (and would 9 times out of 10 AGAIN). LOL.

Good for the Cowboys... even though they're without Romo or Felix Jones for the next 4 weeks... :crying:

Don't want to tick off any Minnesota fans, but isn't it a penalty to remove your helmet on the field of play. I seem to remember players (Emmitt Smith in particular) who would get flagged for removing their helmet on the field.

Adrian Peterson removes his helmet after EVERY play... even after his touchdowns (where Emmitt got flagged). Not once was the flag thrown for this.

I don't particularly like either team (GB or Minn)... just curious.
