Do you like American Football?

Just wait until next year when I take the whole darn thing boys!! LMAO!!!

Thats not gonna happen... I'm gonna mow you all down!!!!!! mwahahaha!!:uzi::flames::twoguns:

But that's ok because the Steelers are in and so are the DOLPHINS!!!
Hey, I wouldn't be talking. The dolphs got in the playoffs!!! (and it is one of the teams that I kind of like, though I side mostly with the packers)

I've come to the conclusion that Tony Romo is NOT the one we've been waiting for.

Question is... which QB will be staying and which one will be moving on??? Brady or Cassel?
Quite honestly, I think I'd take Romo over T-Jack. :shrugs: I agree that it's great there's no Patriot talk for the playoffs this year and I think it would only be """fair""" that Brady gets the boot and Cassel gets the paycheck . . . It's exactly the way Brady got his "career" on the back of an injured Bledsoe. ;)

I'm still bruding that I was so close to winning the WHOLE season!!!!!
Close?! Seriously!?! I got third in my brother's $$ picks league by two games. At least you got second! First loser isn't so bad! ;)

Thanks for organizing all of this Brent!

Go Panthers! Lets hope our running game prevails throughout the playoffs.
I wish I had organized it. That accolade goes to Vinny. I just helped advertise the enthusiasm. I also have the Panthers picked to go all the way . . . against Indy. Indy wins though. :shrugs:

That sounds vaguely familiar . . . post #13 and post #16 . . . :sidestep:

Oops my bad! One day when your my age you will see that you start forgetting much more! :sidestep::grin01:

Thanks Vinny for doing this!

I know!!! THAT would be awesome payback. LOL.

Wasn't it ironic that Chad Pennington ENDED Brett Favre's "2nd Cinderella season"? I thought it was "poetic justice" that the two played against each other and that Chad Pennington and the Dolphins were able to beat the Jets who had abandoned him (I don't think Chad's that great, though) for Favre. Payback was a real bad on this time.

All my hopes are on Indy now. One of my worst nightmares would be that Eli gets 2 SB rings and that Peyton doesn't get another... THAT would be an injustice of the "nth degree". They may all talk about how Eli is the "better natural athlete"... but Peyton is a true field general.

The BS that Archie and Eli played when he got drafted . . . :angry01: If not for the fact that it's a team game AND they beat the Patriots to end their perfect season, Eli doesn't deserve the one he did get.

at least I came in front of that Steelers fan. It is on if the Chargers meet the Steelers next week... that would be too cool!

How are things VJ?

Lol. Things are going well. I'll have to do a little better with my picks next year. I really got whooped on.

The Chargers season ends in Pittsburgh. :wavey: :D Should be a good game... 20 degrees and a chance for snow.

Vinny!!! You gonna get this business rolling for the '09 season?!?!? Training camps are due to open this coming week. Let the trash talkin' begin!!

I've been waiting for a football thread forever!. I am ecstatic about the up coming season, and the NFL pre-season is just around the bend. I have a feeling their's some die-hards out here on CS.com, and I can't wait to see some blood-shed and broken hearts. Especially with some of you poor Bengals fans!.

*adds war paint*. It's on!!!.

I'm in if you guys start another Fantasy League. Well... if you'll have me. LOL.
If there is a fantasy league I would LOVE to join. I did a Madden League last season and I played all my games fair, never trash talk (sort of), and stuck it through to the bitter end. Granted, I've never done a league before, but I can pick it up quick and I've learned a lot of the basics from just browsing!.

BTW, just to keep this thread progressing I'm going to ask the first NFL question of the season. On NFL Network they asked the analysts to name 5 players that will breakout onto the NFL scene next season, and I thought that was a fun question, so I ask you guy's; name 5 players who will be bonafied stars by seasons end. It doesn't have to be 5, but if you can it would be fun!.

I'll start with my 5:

1. Kevin Smith RB Detroit Lions
2. Dominique Rogers-Cromartie CB Arizona Cardinals
3. Jason Jones DT Tennessee Titans
4. Chris Henry WR Cincinnati Bengals
5. Jerod Mayo LB New England Patriots

we dont do it that way, though its fun gettin some trash goin around....

We started this a while ago (last season) and we use yahoo NFL fantacy football. In there program, you pick who will win from some of the games that week, not the players. I know its a little different, but you will get use to it.. Lets just hope vinny gets on it!!!

I've never even done a regular league, but picking games sounds like even more fun anyway. The way I see it, any system that has defenses as being the least important thing (as in last thing you draft) is obviously flawed. I still want to start one anyway, but I'm all for game picking. I'm usually pretty good at it. Believe it or not, I had the Steelers winning it all towards the beginning of last season. I do love the Ravens, but I'm feeling another Steelers championship. That changes if Baltimore get's an elite wide receiver (they signed Drew Bennett, but still not quite enough!.).

Yes. I'm putting this together again this year. There will be some sweet prizes this year for at least 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. I'll start a new thread for 2009 and updated this thread with a link when it's ready.
