Recording Growth?

As many of you do, I am interested in recording the growth and whatnot of my baby corn snakes. I plan on getting a fancy little digital scale soon, but I am lost of what to look for in specifics... Can anyone recomend a good digital scale that will last me a good while and maybe where I could get it from?

Also, regarding recording the length of the snakes, how do you personally measure the length of your snakes?

Thanks!

to be honest i've never actually measured the length of my snakes, i just know that they are both 3+ feet long, because they stretch the length of their vivs!

you can just go buy a digital gram scale from your local walmart or whatever sort of store like that you have. nothing fancy

I have this scale from Walmart:

I'm not sure if they do site to store in Canada but I got the site to store so I didn't have to pay shipping which saved some cash...

As far as measuring length, I use a tape measure- It's kind of a pain in the behind but I have a Mac computer and so I can't use the program that's usually floating around-

You may be able to do a search for the snake measuring program on this site if you don't have a Mac...

Hey, a friend of mine who owns a pet store just got in new digital scales.

http://tinyurl.com/66xhg2

The big one weighs 1200 g, accurate to +/- 1g, and the smallest weighs 120g, accurate to +/- .1g.

They have a lifetime warranty! My digital scale is _always_ acting up- saying the battery is low after I have just replaced it.

You can even buy an AC adaptor for the two larger scales (the middle one weighs 300 grams) how cool is that?? (I have had a lot of battery issues...)

If you do a search on here, you should find a program that will help you measure your snake pretty accurately. It's one that I've moved from computer to computer, but always forget to bookmark the site..... sheesh.
