WIR: March 1 - March 7, 2009

This is probably the best WIR I've seen! You put some amazing pictures in this one. Wonderful job!

How long did it take you to get it done?

Holy Crap.

Paul Sorvino, upon hearing his daughter's Oscar™ acceptance speech, ain't got nothin' on me.

As grateful as I am to the "guardian angel" from this forum who placed Bo into the foster home where he resides, I now realize that in retrospect, I should have taken him to the home of the "First Runner-Up".

LORI!!!!! Bless your heart and other vital organs! You're making a jaded, cynical curmudgeon - that's NOT you - into a believer in the decency of people again.

Last night, I was on the phone with Katie (ArpeggioAngel), who is going through some difficulties with her truck. Katie and I have met IRL, and we both agree that this weird little snake keeping cult of ours is nothing without the thoughtful, kind and generous souls who make it the community that it is. It is both a privilege and a sh!tload of laughs to be associated with you all.

To that end, I want to return the karma that I've received here....but I must first ask this person's permission to publically "out" their situation so they can get the support they deserve. Let's just say that said person's health situation is - AND SHOULD BE - in our thoughts more than mine, and when I heard of it last Friday, I became comfortably numb that night over two bottles of Chardonnay, out of my frustration over the randomness of life's challenges.

I merely need to "stabilize"....this person is dealing with a greater struggle.

That said - thank you again to everyone here who has PM'd me their support and well wishes over the past months. I and my blood thank you. Bo and I will be together in the field soon, I have no doubt.

Oy VAY Shinizzle, I'm All Verklempt,
Dale

(p.s. - Hey, not a bad WIR.)

Becky, thank you for the kind words. This is my second WIR, and it took me a good six hours from start to finish. The first time I had saved links to photos throughout the week, so I'll have to keep that in mind if I'm asked to fill in again.

(((Dale))) You're such a staple to this forum (and I'll probably get rickrolled for that one!) and it's great to hear you sounding so upbeat, happy, jaded and cynical! You know we've "got your back." That photo of you and Bo...it's just mesmerizing. It's actually true that dogs take on the resemblance of their Masters, isn't it? ::runs!::

Regarding your friend, our thoughts and prayers are with her. She's very lucky to have you in her corner.

Thanks Tom and Hallie!! :wavey:

To a glove slap??
Bring it!

LOL....the woman I took to my junior prom STILL has the best "conflict resolution" protocol, IMHO....."Indian Leg Wrestling". You end up on the floor laughing instead of arguing.

(And with the size my legs, I tend to win.)

Dale

Great week in review. It allows me to catch by on what I missed. It's great seeing the variety of pet that people have.

Thanks, Patricia! Hope all is well up there in your corner of the planet! :wavey:
