Short and Sweet
Well I was feeding the snakes today and "Stori" my ball python ate hers in one of those positions that makes you think "Now how could you possibly enjoy that?".

The vision of a pig on a roasting spit popped into my head so I thought I would share! The pictures are messy so if you don't like a little gore then don't look! :)

Good Lord! At least your's still took the mouse after she exploded it! My BP exploded hers the last feeding, got blood and guts everywhere and then refused the dang thing! I had to get her a fresh one that she gobbled up right away.

It's like looking at a car wreck, you know? You don't want to look but you gotta! How bad was the smell? I know when it happened to me, I could smell blood for hours!

It is like a car wreck! I do have to tease her a little after it explodes but she always takes it in the end!
I know what you mean about the smell sticking with you - I was making tuna right after and thinking "this smells just like that mouse". Yum right? :puke01: I can usually smell it a couple hours after in the room.

You know I've never seen one via anal prolapse. The guts tend to just come right out the stomach with mine.

Yep, mine tend to come right out the stomach, too! Matt gets ticked when it happens 'cause I make him clean up afterwards. I can't handle the smell enough to do it myself.

Haha poor Matt! The smell doesn't bother me that much. It just tends to linger.
 
It is the worst smell ever! I can smell it for hours afterwards and when it happens I usually have to go hang out in another room of the house. You should see my cats when it happens!

Matt gets all the icky jobs! Although, I'm not sure even he would've been able to handle Izzy's mess without gagging a few times!
 
Lol!!! That is ridiculously disgusting! I haven't had anything like that happen yet, but, then, I don't have any BPs... Lately, though, I've had several pinkies get their guts just squeezed out.. The KSB seems especially prone, but I have had it happen with a couple of the corns. Hm... Something tells me boids are just messy eaters altogether! I bet it's 'cause they're FAT. ;)

I have to agree, though, it did look kind of like a pig on a spit... Replace snake with sticks and water bowl with campfire, and wa-la! :D

They're not fat, they're muscle! :D LOL.
That could be why, though. That much muscle squeezing something like that...
 
weird. your baby and mine demolished mice today. my bcc tore the back end off a rat while constricting. i threw it out cause it was only legs and skin. it was weird. and made a mess.
