Blizzard - Alina

An update on Alina, a female '06 Blizzard.

The only yellow, that she has on her, is a wee bit at the head/neck junction. Otherwise, she doesn't have any yellow.

THAT is my kind of blizzard!! I love them, but if I ended up with one, it would probably develop tons of yellow...sigh... just my kind of luck.

Hi Pasodama,

Alina is so beautiful! She's such a high-quality blizzard cuz I can barely see any yellow.

I want a blizzard just like yours but since I'm in Canada, a reptile expert that I know is going to order in a blizzard from the UK. He told me the best breeder he knows for blizzard is in the UK. Since it's going to have to be shipped via air mail whether it's coming from the US or UK, he suggested me that I go for the best and purchase one from a reputable blizzard breeder that he knows in the UK. It will arrive next week and I didn't need to place a down payment with the reptile expert because he says he's that confident with the quality.

I have a few concerns still though:

1. Neither me nor the reptile expert I know will see the snake until it actually arrives.
2. As much as the prices for reptiles are jacked up in Canada, this one isn't just a little more extra $ since it's custom order, but it's really quite a hefty extra $.

I am willing to purchase the snake, as the reptile expert gave me an estimate, if they are really high-quality as yours. I've seen just way too many blizzards that aren't like their title ("blizzard") and I'd simply prefer alternative morphs because to me, blizzards should be pure white like yours. I hope I didn't offend anyone...

I have a question about Alina. Was she as white as she is now when she was less than 1 years old? I noticed that they were generally pinkish and kind of transparent, and not really white, but looks more naked lol. If Alina was also pinkish, when did she turn completely white? I've also seen a blizzard just so pure white that is around 1 and a half years old.

Just thought I'd ask so that I won't be disappointed when I get to see the pinkish blizzard that was ordered in for me just because that's the way they're supposed to be as youngsters.

This is my first snake and I'm so excited to bring him/her home!

Would you be familiar with any blizzard breeders in the UK? How about where you got your snake? Did you get Alina in the US?

Thank you and Alina :)

Wow!! She is sooo pretty! My Blizzard is about a tenth of the size and has 3 times the amount of yellow on the sides.

Although at first I wanted a blizzard without any white, I've actually grown to really like it and I keep wanting him to shed more and more to see where the yellow will spread to. :]

I absolutely love blizzards. They are one of the most simple morphs but probably ones of the most beautiful I'll ever see. And yours is no exception. :]

Thanks, everyone.:)

My Blizzard is about a tenth of the size and has 3 times the amount of yellow on the sides.

IRL You cannot see any hint of yellow (dorsally nor on ventrum) except for just a wee bit of yellow blush, at her cheek, that you have to strain your eyes to see ... although, in photos, you can see it (photos have a tendency to enhance any yellow, or pattern, that one may not see, or may not see well, on Blizzards IRL).

BTW As of around March 20th (this year), Alina weighed in at 652 grams ... big girl.:)

Although at first I wanted a blizzard without any white, I've actually grown to really like it and I keep wanting him to shed more and more to see where the yellow will spread to. :]

I prefer Blizzards without yellow. Although, that is not to say that I dislike those with it.:)

If you haven't already, you'll have to post photos of your Blizzard.:)

Now THAT'S a beautiful blizzard!!! I'd also prefere blizzards with as little yellow as possible, and she hits the perfection. Great looking snake! :)

Sorry it took me a few days, I'm not on the computer every night.

Anyway, here's my little one. He's just over a year old, and still pretty small. But I really love how the yellow is starting to spread down his neck. :]

He just has the sweetest temperament, he's impossible not to love.
