didnt see there wqas a page 2. Interesting comments everyone. Wanted a bp before but i got talked into corns as i was told they are easier to keep. Dont think i will be happy till i get one which hopefully will be next month. They might not be the easiest snake to keep but i think they are worth the extra trouble.

Thanks Brewster, How old is your girl in the pic? I have seen a male, about 18 months old and about 3 foot. The seller said it wont get a lot bigger is this right?

My girl is only a few months old and about 2ft and 200grams. For a male 3ft is about full size although a few can get a bit larger. Females can reach 5ft.

:shrugs: My only one eating right now is a young female.
Are most of yours adults, and do the larger ones seem to give you the most trouble?
I'm wondering because those have no problems with them, seem to have younger snakes. Mine was wonderful as a youngster too, and I would've highly recommended them as pets, but you start to think differently once the first hunger strike happens.
I got my Ball Python about three years ago when he was a baby, and he was perfect until about a year ago. He ate every single time, roamed frequently, and was one of my easier snakes to keep. I still love him, and he is a curious, friendly, wonderful pet, but his adulthood has been a little more tricky. He has gone off feeding for two months before, and still misses the occasional meal.

2.1 adults, and 0.1 yearling. And yes, all 3 adults are the ones on feeding strikes right now. Granted, the female is gravid, but still!

LOL! Here's kind of a time-line for ya! Surry is our youngest being an 09 hatchling. Even after her trauma she's eaten f/t just fine! No problems.

Ms. Sauron is a yearling and she has refused 2 meals. Later found the cause to be a small dip in her humidity. Since then she's been eating every meal(so far).

Sadie is an 07 so 2 years old and she went off feed for 2 months I think, then went back on feed but refuses f/t and now will only eat live. Still haven't been able to switch her to f/t again.

So in my short expierance,it is the older ones that give the most problems with feeding and being finicky. I still love 'em to bits, though, and am willing to deal with those issues simply because I love their personalities and temperment. Not to mention how beautiful they are! All 3 of mine are normals yet look completely different from eachother! Sadie is a beautiful dark brown with light brown markings, Surry is still hard to tell since she's so young still but has a pretty cool looking pattern and Sauron just gets more beautiful with every shed. She's a stark black with some of the most brightest gold markings I've ever seen! And they only get brighter with every shed.
