Never handle the rat snakes before the kings. I have been back into keeping snakes for 8 months and this is the first time I have been bit since then. My large female Brooks made up for the lost time with interest. Bite, coil and attempt to swallow.

Sorry you got bit. Eight months is a good run though!

I found out today why they were afraid of my anery at the pet store. She's a full on tyrant with the hissing, rattling, striking and constricting. I might be joining you soon!!
