Studies on dog behavior!

So who is up for a "discussion" (a new thread of course) on what dog food is the best, because I know for an absolute fact that mine is. LOL

How much do you feed? My dogs have a constant supply of food...there is probably something totally illegal about that, huh?

Rosie is fed soley on the RMB diet. Chicken portions and beef heart are her staples, but she enjoys lamb necks, kidneys, rabbit portions and stealing thawed mice.

I forgot to tell you, my friend is planning on becoming a canine nutritionist, so I know these things... ALL of these things.

I feed RMB too. :) I WISH my dog would eat whole mice and rats. She looks at me like I'm trying to feed her the family hamster. lol!

Oh hey, I actually did train the dog a little. Working retrieves and the "hup!" command (hurdles), and a little down on recall.

I do not want mine eating any mice and rats, but 2 months ago I started buying chicken quarters for $.50-$.65 a pound (right now they are $.50/lb). Every 3-5 days they get a mix of what ever cheap organ meat I can find and some veggies (leafy greens, carrots, squash, ext). They look better than ever.

Actually Rosie prefers to squish and roll on the mice rather than eat them! Then nibble on them and squish them a bit more. I've been thinking about seeing how she'll like day-old chicks.

If you can manage to manipulate this photo into one lump thesis on how this disproves positive reinforcement,
Once again **ouch** to the defense **ouch** of your "brother". **ouch** Cool! The **ouch** picture isn't manipulated **ouch** nor is the **ouch** intent. It's not **ouch**a thesis on positive **ouch** reinforcement. It's a thesis **ouch** on your arrogance and lying and ridiculous **ouch** claims.

Amen. My dog blows up like a balloon with carbs in her diet, and I don't have fat dogs - as a rule. Even the low carb, high meat kibbles made her chunky, and this was with tons of exercise.

Been feeding raw for two years, and she's been great. Maybe I'll get some revolting pictures of her eating today, lol.

When Rosie's tearing around with her friends I've been asked if her diet's making her hyperactive. It's taken some convincing the other dog walkers that she's an additive-free puppy!

If I could have managed the dry look, I might have tried, "Well, just how much cocaine are you supposed to add?"

My male has actually put on weight with this diet, lol. Even so, I still get people that give me the, "thats the skinniest dog I have ever seen" bit. My reply is always the same, "I guess this is the first time you have ever seen a real working bird dog".

Seriously guy's, I find it a little immature and unfactual to be obsessing over this photo.

Of course you do. It proves you lied (or the Mike persona did - I can't keep up any better than you can), and it is YOUR PHOTO. If it wasn't yours, you'd just ignore it. You can't, and now I bet you wish you would remember what you've posted before spewing out lies, right? LOL.

So, what familiy or friend are you going to bring up to be the world's best expert in something else now? I'm thinking we should all start a pool as to what you'll say you are an expert in next...and who you "know" that is the world's best authority on that topic.....lol.

Yep, a healthy working dog almost has the look like a "decent meal would kill them" - if you are familiar with that saying. People have such FAT pets that they think FAT is healthy and healthy is undernourished.

Most of the pet cornsnake keepers here would think a healthy wild one looks starved and half dead...and never make the connection to realize THAT is why they have breeding problems practically never seen in wild snakes. Go figure.

Hey, my heart is filled with love and my intentions are pure. Your hatred means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

So you admitted to him you lied? Because, "your" dog obviously does not instinctually go lie down when it sees a snake.
