Hi Everyone,
Tomorrow will be the 9th annual Portland Reptile Expo. We will be attending, as a vendor, for the third year. It is not the biggest expo but it has grown every year of it's existence with new vendors and visitors. Because of the revision of the State of Maine's "Unrestricted Reptiles & Amphibians" list this should be the biggest and most exciting ever, drawing in new vendors with new species that were formerly not allowed. Also this year N.E.R.D. and ZooMed will be in attendance as vendors.
We hope to see the members of CS.com that we have already met as well as a bunch that we haven't. I know a couple of you will be there as vendors as well (Joanna "Jodu", Turner "tbtusk"). So come by our table and introduce yourselves and sit a spell. We hope to see and meet a bunch of you.


We will definitely be posting pictures of the vendors and the animals. I can't wait to share the kind of day we had. See you tomorrow night.

I had a lot of fun! I really enjoy seeing you and PJ again! Though brief, I enjoyed meeting Jodu and tbtusk! Thank you so much and I really hope we can meet up again!

I am anxiously awaiting pictures from this show; if I'd have known about it a few days in advance I'd have been there for sure! Is anyone going to the New England Reptile Expo in Manchester in October? I'll definitely be at that one.

Excellent! Adam and I want to stock up on frozen mice there to avoid shipping costs, and also to drool over all the animals, of course. I was hoping to possibly run into some New England CS.com folks as well!
 
Ya I went there today. Sorry I didn't introduce myself. Not great with the faces and knowing whos who plus I was a little embaressed of my younger brother who was there with me and stalking me around the whole place and bugging me lol. Although I did talk to Turner and Joanna for a bit but never realized who they were.

I ended up getting a "male"(I have some different ideas now because of some odd behavior but I'll post a thread in the behavior forums about this) anery, maybe a ghost, from Regals because my dad gave them some of his left over geckos from this season that he brought up with them and they threw it in as a trade. There was some more stuff there that I actually wanted to get (especially one of Turner's ultramels) but I didn't learn about the expo until earlier this week so I didn't really have enough time to save up any money for the show and only had $25 on me the whole time and I had to use that money to buy some feeders so after that I wasn't left with much lol.

Turner, when I have some money for a female ultramel for my male caramel I will definately be contacting you!

And Joanna, that anery lavander looked awesome! I always thought they looked nice but I guess they are one of those snakes you have to see in person to really get an idea on how beautiful they are. Next time I'll be sure to formally introduce myself!

I'll be there a NERE too. I thought I would also try my luck at buying feeders there last time, as to also avoid shipping costs. I realized that it is still not nearly as cheap as rodentpro.com even with shipping. I suppose if you only have a few snakes it would save some money, but for even a moderate order it is much cheaper online, just a word of advice.
I haven't been to the Portland show before, and I was far too busy today, but I would love to in the future. Glad you guys have fun, and can't wait to see pics Wayne!
 
Well, we only have one snake. We did order 50 pinkies from Loxahatchee Rodents (I'd heard bad things on this site about RodentPro), but we were thinking we'd stock up at the show because it isn't as worth it for us to pay the shipping as it would be for someone with more snakes. Plus, excuse to go to reptile show :)

Wish you all had come by and said "HI", we were in the alcove! My banner is just like the banner in my signature but 6' long. I have one on the front of the table and one on the banner stand above us at the table.

It was a bit busier than usual, but than again it was the first time Maine has changed their Unstricted List in decades! LOL

Thank you soo much Amanda! My pictures and Jay's are all gone!!! The computer failed upon this morning's turn on. I have it up and running, Jay can fine tune things, but everything that I hadnt backedup all summer is GONE!! I would think that includes ALL of Ryan's start track and graduation pictures!!!

Think I will be taking this computer in to have the hard drive cleaned out...I need my stuff!!

Now I have to get my Norton's back on here...they cant find my subscription...good figure!!!

Agh..That sucks so bad PJ!..I can't believe it..see I hate computers so much..if it wasn't for my Reptiles..I barely be on.
I hope you can retrieve your photos at least from some place..I don't think I will ever delete my cameras memmory card now..just fill it and buy another..LOL..
