Wanna pet my Snake?
So, here is Alaska, my male LTR. He has been a good snake overall. Just a few nips that haven't dont much damage. Lol. Definitely very jumpy thats for sure.

Anyway, I love how absolutely white he is!

The more I see these snakes the more I think I want one!...lol
It's a toss up between a black milk and a leucy.. Can only afford one this year so people like you posting your leucy's are making it really harder to decide. Considering I was all set on a black milk.......Dang you people, why do you do this to me.......LOL
 
LOL... Sorry! I do want a Black Milk as well.. But don't have the room or money. Lol. I don't know what you'd like more. Lol, These ones are a little more of a challenge to tame down though I would think. I haven't really heard to much about Black Milks being nippy or anything like that. So, if your looking for a little bit of a challenge I'd get a LTR. :)
 
Nippy as a baby doesn't bother me. I'm sure with time I'd be able to tame one. It's just their looks with the stark white and blue eyes that really get me. I'm not a fan of lighter snakes, because most of them have red eyes and I have an aversion to red eyes. But leucy's have those awesome blue eyes that just blow me away........lol
 
Lol, completely agreed! That is one thing I don't like at all about the blizzards and snows. I have snakes with red eyes, but I think they look good with red eyes. Lol, it kind of fits into there body patter etc.. Lol, good luck with whatever you decide.. :)
 
Such a gorgeous snake! Definitely on my list of snakes to get when I move out of the mother in law's place!
 
TRENT! Sorry I couldn't post before... I was in a meeting and I didn't want to "get into trouble" by posting this when I should be listening!! LOL.

Alaska is looking AWESOME!!!! Too kewl! He's grown so much and looks incredible. And I will ALWAYS enjoy seeing pics of him!

He's not nippy any more is he? Luna is seeming to be a lot better than before, so I'm hoping that Alaska is following along those lines.

KEEP THE PICS coming, Trent!!! LOL.

Well, having now dealt with 2 LTR BABIES (only have 1 now) and 3 Black milks (I recently acquired 2 more... at least temporarily), I will share this. If you're gonna get struck and EATEN by either of these, in my LIMITED experience, it'll be the LTR that does it. That being said, Luna has calmed down a lot and was very sweet the other day while watching TV with me. I would not want her to be pissy with me at 6 feet long, though. LOL.

The black milks I have are very nervous and flighty, but after a few moments in my hands, they calm down and are very corn-like in nature. It's just the initial few moments that they are very nervous. I've never been struck at or bitten by a black milk (In my LIMITED experience).

I'm sure that when all 4 of them are adults (1 LTR and 3 Black Milks) they'll be just fine to handle.

I know you've been wanting a Black Milk for awhile... If I could choose for you, I'd get you a black milk first... an LTR later. :)
 
Lol.. It's fine Fred. He has calmed down. I had him really calmed down for a while.. But have not handled him recently and well, lets just say he's definitely on the move trying to run. Haha.. There have been a few times I've caught him in bad moods though.

LOL, Trent. I wonder if Alaska will be looking for a girlfriend in a couple of years???? :p Luna just might be ready... :grin01:
 
Alaska is a very handsome fellow!


i have a big(5ft atleast) female LTR but she's an old lady(almost 10 years old) so no more botfriends for her she just gets to lounge around and be held the rest of her days. she may be getting old but she's got alot of pep left on the move almost consistantly when i have her out but then she settles and is a big sweetie

Like the day he bit me? That must have been a bad mood day.... ;) He's so cute, I hope mine turns out as pretty as him (Ricky's eyes are a slightly different color though, so he probably won't).

Thanks! Lol, yea I can't wait for him to get bigger. Just hopefully he doesn't get to mean when he gets bigger..

Lol.. He just didn't like you or something. He's never struck at me outside the cage so that was definitely weird. :)

Soooo pretty! Ours just shed and she lost those yellow scales on her nose and is looking beautiful now. I can't wait to watch her grow.
