Dignity, Intellect, Integrity, and Muscle...Are we ready?

Wade, I put it "nicer" but I agree, some of those people who have been allowed to step on our soil, should not be allowed to leave, alive.
Very well said, Mike.

And same to you, Wade. How so very like Ladybird to 'out' the litterbugs. Advocate of native wildflowers, humanitarian, etc.

Thank you, Mike. I was wondering if and when someone would catch the original drift of my OP.
While the US is in a lovefest, patting ourselves on the back for how liberal we are........it is idiots like Ahmadinejad (Iran) and Kim Jong-il (North Korea) who will only get bolder and bolder and bolder.
...And don't get me wrong...I have not gone all limbaugh-conservative/far-radical-right on anybody.

I saw Ann Coulter on Hannity last night (or the night before)....and felt once again how nimble and tingly my hands would feel around her skinny smart-@$$ throat. :roflmao:

The hatred goes both way, and I can't say we are faultless either... some of us allowed our hate to cross the legitimate lines. As am ex-soldier I can say without a doubt that during operations we do everything imaginable, including ourselves on the line, to try and not hurt civilians.
However, in the boarders for instance I have seen unfitting behavior from our own soldiers... but... I was in those boarders too- when you sleep like... 2 hours for every 48 hours that you're awake, you begin to seriously lose yourself in the haze... right and wrong becomes vague and not even relevant.

I don't see an immediate way out- It must begin with a few, personally, and then more will follow. I hope Israel will continue to exist to see it

Oren, in your post #23, you probably characterize and sum up most closely....exactly why I think about making threads like these. To help keep 'talk on these subjects' in the front of our minds and on the tip of our tongues.

I don't want Ahmadinejad, nor Kim Jong-il, to get too cozy and bold and start something that will be catastrophic, or even nearly so,....in a time when they might perceive that the US is self-distracted or in a national state of good spirits, that would be reflected by these maniacal dictators (Chavez in Venezuela comes to mind, don't want to leave him out) perceiving US kindness for weakness or lenience in crossing lines of proper international etiquette.

What Ahmadinejad had the audacity to do with words, yesterday, at the UN of all places.

The world has proven it's impotency repeatedly when it comes to the issues in the Middle East. The USA, with the best intentions at heart, tried to judge from a far a conflict which is hard to understand or even to describe, by someone who has and is breathing and living it.
The USA remains our strongest and most supportive ally- there was always however a slight accusation note hinted towards us... and that's very hard to accept from a nation so far away and so out of touch with the daily occurrences here.
In the end, I think it will end in a show of force- will there be another air attack? I don't know. Are we capable of delivering such a blow... I won't be surprised if we can- will we be allowed to? God knows.

Self defense is a very basic right we all have and share- while we indeed financially are heavily supported by the USA, we rely on our own military for protection and preservation of peace. I can't expect the United States to govern the world for us- you have enough to deal with as it is.

Yes, I am worried, but I do not blame, nor expect that the solution will come from the United States alone.

All in all, we will see what happens...
I am ashamed and feel guilty for admitting, that I sometimes really wish to just pack my things and leave... I have a European citizenship(German- irony incarnate or what?)... but to turn back on my people and the millions who died to obtain it...
It really does tear one's heart apart- that you should have to choose between the memory of those before you, and your own safety and well-being.

Ah I also wanted to say that I am by no means underestimating the effort put into Iraq.
I really am simply sorry that the United States should have to deal with it- and though I know it is a very controversial topic, I just wanted to clarify:
I do NOT belittle what you are doing there, and I am sorry for the loss and pain this has caused so far.
I hope that episode will be over for you soon, and that your boys and girls will return safely home.

If you have an hour and a half to kill, look around and find a recording of Libyan moonbat Kernel Kuh-Daffy's meandering blather yesterday. Heavens to Murgatroyd, what a lunatic! And Thuh Don-uld letting him put up a tent on his property? WTH? (Other than the Almighty Dollar, that is...)

Even if I do find the extra time, I see no reason to squander it by hearing the gibbering of a hateful madman.

I can't help feeling that this is the first time that Qadaffi has spoken out since Reagan bombed his behind. Perhaps one should be sent over to shush him for the next 20 years or so... :nyah:

Point well taken, sir! I suppose I might have phrased it "if you think there's a drop of sense in this guy, and have an hour..."

I actually listened to the whole thing, because I couldn't imagine anyone could be as bizarre as the news reports were indicating. I had no interest in it other than prurient curiosity - sort of like watching a train wreck in extreme slow motion. He and Ahmedinejad are two of a kind - I wouldn't want to bet which was more unstable or more dangerous.

'The Donald' is a blithering moonbat, too......

Excuse me Fred, I love you man, but who is going to do that, Obama?

Wade, the beauty and precision of your sage brilliance is like the rarest cut diamond. By a tortuous and circuitous route you have arrived...precisely at my (perhaps too subtle) point in the original post.

I have not seen such a perfect mathematical ellipse in a long long time.

You may have ALL of my rep.
