Barry - "Cherry" Motley from Tucson Reptile Show

Here's my final update for the day of "photographically neglected" snakes. LOL. This is Barry... I bought him as a "Cherry Motley" along with another one who didn't make it (wouldn't eat). He's turning out quite nice, but I wish he had stayed darker (like a bing cherry). Still the pretty boy, though. HERE you'll find some pics of him and his sister when I first bought them. There was some talk on that thread of them being hypo? What do you think?

Here's Barry today - 10/05/2009!

MORE PICS Coming!!! Hold on... just a few more before I'm done.

Here's one of one of our kids holding Barry...

Okay, the kid's about to freak out. As I took the pic, I was already reaching for Barry. LOL.

Well, that's it!!! Hope ya'll enjoyed seeing pics of Barry!

As for the question... is he a hypo? What do you think?

I have no idea if he's Hypo or not, breeding trials would prove it, but he's turning out real nice Fred and he's going be a spectacular adult!!! :D

Agreed with Susie. He very well could be, but it's hard telling. I wonder about my Motley sometimes, but I don't know if I'll ever know.
He's gorgeous, though! I really love his pattern. He's one of the best Motleys i've seen. :)

Thanks, Sue! I will admit that I did not really appreciate his looks until just a few months ago. Then my eyes were opened!!

Why thank you, Suzy!!! I certainly hope he's hypo... In my limited and biased opinion he is... but what do I know. LOL.

Barry looks great! Hard to say whether, or not, he is Hypo ... I see a breeding trial in Barry's future ;)
BTW I am so sorry to hear that his sis did not make it.

I'm not an expert, but he could perfectly well be a Hypo Motley. He is a tad lighter and brighter than the Normal Motleys I've seen, so I might put my money on betting he IS a hypo. But both normals and hypos do vary a LOT, so test breeding would tell for sure. :)

Thanks, Marinneli (you know, I don't know if that's your real name, but I LOVE it!)! Hypo or not, I really do like how Barry has/is turning out. :)

I'm trying to figure out what would be the best way to "test" the hypo. Please be KIND... I've never bred corn snakes before. LOL.

Yeah... I get that... LOL. I was thinking of breeding him to my Hypo BR when their both ready... but figure that the BR might make things "indeterminate" or "muddy the waters" a bit. LOL.

I guess I could also breed him to a Hypo Lavender het BR. That way the Hypo would be a definite... or not... LOL.
