At the Tucson Reptile Show, I saw these two beauties! I don't know that "Cherry Motley" is a "real" name, but I thought that they were beautiful all the same... so I bought a pair! No, they weren't on my list... but hey, I'm IMPULSIVE! LOL.

This is the male... his head pattern is "broken" compared to hers. LOL.

i think they look like straight motleys (also i have never heard of cherry motleys as a trade name before).

very pretty all the same though.
 
Cherry Motley??, Anyway they are definitely two Beauties. Can't hardly see any Black what so ever so when the grow and lighten up they should be fabulous. Congrats on a great Impulse pick up:cheers:
 
Lovely new additions! I'm a sucker for a pretty motley myself. They may be hypo motleys, but I would say they are actually just bright normal motleys. It'll be fun watching them progress and eventually testing them!
 
Whatever they may be, they are my vision of a "perfect" Motlely! Circles all the way down the back. :)

They come up with some fun names at those expos--I bought a "pastel" motley myself, which turns out to be just a colorful ghost. But it was only five dollars more than the regular ghost I bought, so not a bad deal even with a fancy name.

These little guys are very cute--I'd say hypo too, because that sounds good! When I heard Cherry I thought it'd be like a fire, bright red, but these guys are pretty too!

I agree, those are beautiful snakes. They have the perfect motley pattern, and you should definitely post progression pics.
 
Well, whatever they are I think I may have had to buy them too! Stunning! I will definitely be looking for progression on these two!

FYI, and just so you know, Pastel Motley is a morph name that's been used by quite a few breeders for many years. And you're right, it is just a more colorful ghost that displays a bit more pinky/peachy color. In my opinion, for an extra $5 it's worth it! :eek: Congrats on your pickup as well. ;)

Pastell (also called pastel ghost) IS genetically a ghost (hypo+anery) but more colorful and pastel toned version of it. So that "pastell" label was correct.
 
I know..I'm an Impulse buyer sometimes too..they are so cute tho.

If those were the Cherry's John was selling, I almost picked some up too!! He told me that he didn't really know what was up with them, but that they grew up to be a nice shade of cherry red. I picked up a Lavender male from him, but later that day traded him for something else.. I also picked up a beautiful pale Amel lady from his $15 tanks at the end of the table.. He told me to look closely because there were some special snakes in there.. I think his idea of special was a Reverse Okeetee, but to each his own.. Congrats on the Cherry's, they're beautiful regardless of where you got them or what they are genetically!
