ObamaCare and me By Zane F Pollard, MD

I didn't know that National Review was a credible news source, I thought that they were a self proclaimed conservative magazine, news to me.

What a coincidence! I didn't know that Fox News was a credible news source as well! I thought they were the PR arm of the neoconservative movement. How many field producers are caught leading cheers for an event that they're supposed to be reporting?

FYI - National Review was founded by the last (in my humble opinion) worthwhile conservative, William F. Buckley Jr. Articulate, educated, and yet civil to his strongest adversaries, Buckley started a renaissance of sorts in conservatism in the late 50s and early 60s.

And then starting with Nixon's "Southern Strategy", the inmates started taking over the asylum.

Now, fewer people than ever are willing to be associated with the Republican party. It's a shame, really, because I want to see a spirited debate of facts coming from both sides.

Mike you should probably keep your sick fantasies and questions to yourself.

That is actually a quote from Chris Matthews, host of Hardball with Chris Matthews, which airs weeknights on MSNBC.

Chris Matthews said:
I have to tell you, you know, it's part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama's speech. My, I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don't have that too often.

Some more from the host of Hardball:

Chris Matthews said:
I've never seen anything like this. This is bigger than Kennedy. [Obama] comes along, and he seems to have the answers. This is the New Testament. This is surprising.

Chris Matthews said:
It was the best speech I've ever heard. ... And I'm tearing up, and I'm writing down notes, and I'm trying to keep track of this thing. ... His heart must've been broken last night.

Feel free to google "Matthews", "thrill", and "leg". See for yourself. FYI, I pulled the quotes from the ultra left wing site; the Huffington Post.

Alas! If only the conservatives had as foolish a mouthpiece from whom to quote-mine! :grin01:

(I won't bother. I've never found barrel-fishing to be that much fun either.)

Man, if you think HuffPo is "ultra left wing", I'm real curious how you perceive Daily Kos, Democratic Underground, and other blogs that are MUCH more to the left than HuffPo.

Rule of Thumb: If your blog/website has a section covering entertainment gossip, it's not "ultra" anything.

You know, if the Republicans were left to their own devices right now, their recent descent into madness would be entertainment enough, but how people have reacted to Obama's election has been astounding.

Talk about a divided nation.

Woops, left out the "mel" part. I meant to say "ultramel left wing". Not quite ultra. :dancer:

I am so glad that Obama is the uniter that he claimed to be in his many campaign promises.

Here are some democratic starbursts for you Dale. :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::grin01:

I'll grant you that; right-wing women are some of the hottest in the land.

Take for example, Janine Turner, whom I seriously lusted after while she was on my favorite TV show of all time, Northern Exposure.

She was recently on Larry King, talking about the split - the cleavage - within the ranks of the Republican Party.

I kinda sorta lost all lust for her after that Blon-Duh moment.

And speaking of blondes, let's not forget SNL alum Victoria Jackson....

Stand Proud!!

:roflmao:
