That is a Nelson's milksnake. She was really flighty and musky (never bit) for the first year of her life, then she really mellowed out. But I wouldn't say she ever _enjoyed_ being handled, and she went to live in Maine on a permanent breeding loan where someone won't expect her to be a pet and she can hopefully make baby Nelson's!
It seems to be most people's experience that milksnakes are flighty as young snakes but they will calm down and be less so with time. Generally you see a big change after about a year of age.
