Hedda the Hypo-Blood het Anery

She's an '05 produced by Rich Hume. It's been a looong time since I posted pics of her. I don't know why; I think she's stunning. My other adult female hypo-blood is more diffused, but more orange. I like this girl's reds. But she gets more diffused with each shed, so I'm still hoping for complete diffusion within a couple of years. I hadn't weighed her since '06, so I was surprised to find her at 405g today. And she's very well toned. :)

Absolutely perfect Dean! I don't think you will have to wait as long as you think for the Diffusion to have full affect. That girl is awesome.
Jay

She looks perfectly toned. Thanks for pointing that out. And she's beautiful, too. harumph. I'm jealous. I guess if I only ate once a week or so I'd be a little more toned, too... Maybe not so jealous...

Beautiful!! I've been looking for a female hypo blood het anery (or granite het hypo) for quite some time now for a project I'm hoping to start; hopefully I can find one half as good looking as her! Great snake for sure.

Thanks Matt. :) For HA-HAs, here's a pic of her from October '05.

Wow! What a difference. Don't take this as an insult or anything, but based on her hatchling pic, I never would have thought she'd turn out half as good as she did. She went from a mediocre hatchling to a screaming adult!!

I'm thinking I'll have to contact Rich Hume and see what he'll have available this year.

No insult at all! I had the same reaction when I first got her. I was disappointed. I mean, I thought she was very pretty, but I didn't think she was going to end up being a very good blood specimen. I was quite a bit less "blood savvy" then. But I've learned that you just can't tell how a blood's going to turn out from looking at it as a hatchling. :)

Congrats!

That is 1 gorgeous snake. I've only had my 22 week amel for just over 2 months. I cant wait to see what he turns out like. No were near as gorgeous as yours im sure. Maybe i can convince my hubby what to get me for my birthday after all i will be 40 and need something to cheer me up.Lol. Janet.

You really can't tell how they'll turn out sometimes. Honestly, as a hatchling she doesn't even really look like a blood. I think that's one of the best examples of how a corn can change as it ages; especially from "oh just another snake" to "WOWZA!!".

Well you've inspired me; sent Rich an email, hopefully he'll have something along her lines.

Gorgeous lady! How long is she? Pretty long I think, being slender like that and weighing so much... though of course muscle weighs more than fat... hhhmmmm

Thanks Barbara. :) I have no idea how long she is. It's been a looong time since I've measured a snake for length-- so long that I can't even really give a reasonable estimate. My poor guess is that she's around four feet. :shrugs:
