Yes, she is a Pewter. She is so much darker than my male Pewter. Here they are together for comparison.

You just picked this girl up this afternoon and you already let your male have contact with her? Whatever happened to quarantine :shrugs:

I knew someone was going to come in and say something like that. You cant do anything around here without someone jumping down your throat. They are from the same breeder, possibly even related and were only together for as long as it took me to take the pic. I do plan to quarantine her that is why Im waiting until next year to breed her. I dont want this thread to become one of those that end in a huge argument with unnecessary bickering.

I'm sorry if I sounded snarky, that wasn't my intention, but I'd just listened to someone explaining why they'd had several of their animals euthanized yesterday and it was because they'd introduced 3 new animals at the start of this years breeding season, trusted the person who they got them from, even though they'd never met before and ended up with Crypto in their animals because they used them for breeding straight away and didn't quarantine :shrugs:

Whenever I see new animals and established animals being placed together without quarantine, I feel it gives new keepers the idea that it's ok to just go ahead and do that without being aware of the consequences of doing so. So again, I apologise if there was any offence taken from my previous comment, but I just like to play on the safe side and didn't know if you were even aware of the value of quarantining new animals :)

No worries. I just wanted a picture of them together to compare the difference of their colors. I had no intentions of keeping them together for any longer than that. She wont be with another snake until next breeding season. Which I cant wait for!

Glad I was able to clear that up! :)

She is a beauty, so is the male and I look forward to seeing the little ones that they produce, good luck with them!
