Artz and Snakez
Hi :) Just checking in/introducing myself. My first cornsnake arrived this morning (yes, we are already planning on more, and named our baby with an eye to the future).

This is Enki:

He arrived this morning from South Mountain Reptile, and we couldn't be happier :D We just gave up my bf's red-tail boa to friends because he was a bit too big to handle around the kids. But we didn't want a snake-free home, so after a lot of research, decided on a cornsnake. And after seeing all the wonderful colors and morphs, it was incredibly hard to choose our first. But we settled on a lavender baby from South Mountain.

He is very active...we followed guidelines for introducing him to his new home. He was out and exploring his home within minutes of putting his deli cup in it.

He joins our zoo of a dog, cat, three ferrets and a turtle.

I can not begin to tell you how valuable everything I've read here has been. It definitely helped us prepare everything so we were ready for Enki to come home :)

Welcome to the site.
Ya can't go wrong with SMR.

Read up on the sticky in each form and ask if you have any questions .

Enjoy!!

Hello and thanks :D We absolutely adore him. He's so very active...I find myself just sitting watching him. Definitely glad we have a tight-fitting top for his home, because the way he explores, he'd be out in no time otherwise. Our boa was a very lazy boy...he rarely moved a whole lot so this is a novelty :D

That's a mighty good-lookin' snake you have there! :) Your family (especially your kids) must love having all those different pets. ;)
