Just got him yesterday... I think he's gonna grow up to be a classic amelanistic beauty!

He's about 32cm - not sure how old - I think the pet store said about 6 months...

He looks a little skinny to me, but this being my first snake, hard to gauge...

He spent all day today sleeping, but decided to come out an explore some this evening - which is when I took these photos... He really likes watching me - and obviously loves his tree (stick).

They didn't have any small enough hides at the store, so I had to make-do with household items - there are some nooks and crannies in his stick that he likes to peek his head out of.

Currently, I am calling him Mr. Snakey... this will probably change once he develops into a name.

I have a tendency to get really hooked on things... my plan is for this to be my one and only herp.... hope I can stick with my plan :)

i have four snakes, all with different hides, my amel has cave hides, my blizzard has hides made from cardboard lemonade singles pack, my charcoal motley has hermit crab huts and my ball python has plastic plant pots. They dont seem to be to picky. Moral of the story, its ok to have Jell-o hides haha

Congratulations on your first snake ever! He's lovely and I sure you'll enjoy him. My first was an amel, too. He was and is very special to me.
