Hermes reached for the plant when we put him back in his viv, this is his immediate reaction to getting the aspen back after I'd guess a good 4-5 months....

See, how can anyone keep them on a non-burrowable substrate unless it's medically necessary??
 
I agree with you, Nanci. We CANNOT keep Gaia's aspen looking orderly, she burrows so much there are constant tracks going around the edges of the cage, and it seems she even occasionally throws aspen in the air, as we'll find it high on her climbing wood.
I'm SO glad Hermes took to it, it is so cute seeing them truck along!

I'm still scared he's going to suck a piece up his vent the next time he poos. Ridiculous, I know, but after everything we went through with him I can't help it :eek: And clearly he loves the aspen back. The other two corns, I don't have a second thought about them being on aspen.
