I wanted to post my experience here for anyone who is thinking of picking up some of Kathy's "non feeders".
I've purchased from Cornutopia before, and have always been very satisfied. I noticed her post on non feeders as I was looking to pick up another Miami female to add a new line to my group.
I was interested in trying a couple of them as practice for next spring, when I will finally have snakes old enough to start doing some breeding. I thought it would be good to get some exprience working with difficult hatchlings. After some back and forth correspondance, I added two females NF's to my Miami order to see how it would go. One was another 0.1 Miami, and the other was a 0.1 multi het normal.
They were both more than I expected from day one. Both are beautifully marked, and arrived healthy and active. They are obviously just what she claimed, which are babies that just refused the first two feeding attemps, not culls or defective in any way.
After getting an arsenal of info and supplies together, my "battle" was somewhat anticlimactic
Three days after receiving them, I super scented three pinks by defrosting them in a bag with a half grown mouse. I dropped one snake and one pink each into three deli cups, and walked away. I came back 15 minutes later to see if the "feeder" had eaten, and all three pinks were gone! They all have already taken a second meal 5 days later.
Obviously, not everyone will have it go this way. I just feel that I did receive high quality animals that had a good chance of making it. What more can you ask for 1/3 normal price.
Best of luck to anyone who tries a few of them!
