New Acquisitions: Rosy/Keys Bloods

I saw Carol's beautiful new rosy blood that she posted yesterday, and ten minutes later this pair was ordered! It was less of an impulse buy than it sounds considering that I've thought about them for years. Carol's boy just gave me the final push. I'll be using them to make more rosy bloods, and who knows what else... Maybe I'll make some sunkissed-cinder-rosy-bloods. Check back with me in fifteen years on those.

Here's Pierre and Natasha (in blue):

haha! I KNEW it! As soon as I saw Carol's, I knew you wouldn't be able to help yourself. That's an awesome looking morph, I checked out the SMR site to see what they looked like after I saw Carol's amazing pics and I like how they look, both as hatchlings and as adults.
I mean it's no anery/granite stripe... :grin01:

Thanks Ladydragon, Nanci, and Janine. :D

I guess you've got things all figured out, eh? Well, you know that Keys and Bloods are my favorites, so you had the clues. :)

I forgot to mention that I got these from Louise and Rob Stevens at Bayou Reptiles. Louise was great, and the transaction was flawless. :)

Your such a e-snake whore Dean. Seriously.

Gorgeous new pickups. And the difference is noticeable from regular bloods. I'd like to see an adult though... Any pictures floating around?

They are teeny weeny...

That doesn't make me a bad person. :grin01:

Thanks. :) Yeah, they're small all right, even for late '06s. The female's 8.2g and the male's 8.4g. That will be remedied shortly. Don has pics on the SMR website. Here's a link to the photo page, and if you go back to the listing page, there's a couple more there.
SMR Rosy Bloods

But from what I've seen, they're HIGHLY variable, so who knows what these guys will look like?

Thanks Dean, they are rather strange looking eh... in a great way.

I hope you fatten them up soon. I don't like baby corns with giant heads and googly eyes :p

:eek1:

That IS small, even for late 06's. I weighed my keeper blood male that hatched Aug 1st, and he's 58 grams. I know you'll have those guys caught up soon enough.

Don said he would be producing these next year---I'll have to get on him as soon as those guys hatch. Bayou kept temping me with their KS ads---but they just looked too small.
