I got these beauties in a great transaction with Steve Jordanides (SPJ). They're Bluefields Nicaragua locality, and they are tiny! He lives in CT too, so my sister Sarah (username = Pumilio) and I met him for the pickup this morning. Steve's a nice guy; it's too bad the pouring rain prevented a longer conversation.

These pics were taken at someone else's house with someone else's camera, so they're not very good. Actually, the shots of the male aren't too bad, but the shots of the female were terrible. I guess that's ok, because Sarah's keeping the male for me, so you'll never see photos of him again. :grin01: You'll be seeing plenty of the female-- she's all mine. :)

When I saw Steve had placed them for sale on Fauna, my first thought was "Isn't Dean getting one of their kids?" Nice pickup, why get a baby when you can get the parents lol :*)

Yeah, I really had my heart set on a male, and I had also been regretting that I didn't get on the list for a female. When I saw Steve's ad on Fauna, I had to rub my eyes and make sure I wasn't hallucinating. I think I made that post and PM to him in record time. :grin01:

Om, what morph of cornsnakes are these? :sidestep:

What ever you do, don't tell them they are not corns 'cause they'll be disappointed.

Great looking boids.

:crazy02:

Thanks for the nice comments. :)

Funny-looking colubrids :grin01: Nice pick-up, what are you going to call him?
Hah! I have nearly zero experience with boas, except for rosys, so these ARE funny-looking to me. But funny strange, not funny HA-HA. ;) My sister will be naming the male. She mentioned Titus as a name for him. The female's name is Isabella. :)

One of the few movie quotations I know, but this isn't QUITE right. :)

They are gorgeous! Kick-A$$! I'm both elated for and jealous of you! Please keep us updated with lots of pics, and I'm putting in a special photo request. I'd like to see photos of her snout in frontal view. I like the variation in markings that boas have on their upper "lips."

Pretty nice looking snakes for boids :grin01:
Thanks Mike. :) This'll be the last "branch" for a while. ;)

I'm not surprised I got the quotation wrong; I didn't even know it was from a movie! I just hear people say it. I live a sheltered life. :( What's it from? What's the correct quotation?

Thanks for the comments! :) Don't worry, you'll get every angle of this girl soon enough. ;) But I'm going to let her settle in for a few days. You'll be shocked by how small she is when I get some good hand-shots.

I am insanely jealous. :flames:
Don't hate the playah; hate the game! Maybe I'll make you some of these next year. :)

It's a good quotation. We use it all the time in this house, or some variation of it. It's from Sling Blade. Did you see it? If not, it's a great movie that I definitely recommend renting.

Frank, the boy, talking to Karl about his mom's violent boyfriend and her boss/best friend:

"Vaughan, he's real good to momma. Vaughan, that you met. But he's not able to do anything to Doyle. He's funny... not funny ha ha; funny queer. He likes to go with men instead of women. That make him not be able to fight so good. But he is nice though. He's from St. Louis... queer people get along better in the big town."

Hah! Great quotation. No, I'm the last person in America who hasn't seen that flick. I've always wanted to, but I just haven't gotten around to it. But I'll make it a point to do so. :)

It was a tough decision to let these go.
I am focusing strictly on pythons now and even though I really liked this pair, they did not fit into the direction I am heading.
Dean sent me a note right away and he got first choice to buy the pair from the responses since he already indicated he wanted offspring. I am glad they went to him so I can at least see photos of them from time to time.
He is a very nice guy and I felt comfortable with these going to him.
BTW, the female is Xena and the male is Hercules. Don't blame me. I didn't name them.

I loooove the movie Slingblade! Biscuits and mustard mmmhhmmmm.
Sadly Dean's right, I don't post enough pics. I'll get around to it soon, it's like washing my car, I'm waiting for the weather to "warm up enough." :grin01:
I'm really excited about Titus, *official name* I really like the look of RTB's but I can't deal with something that's going to get bigger than me...I needed something else dwarfish... Pumilio does mean midget after all. Thanks for all the nice comments guys!
