Here are a couple of photos of my new male black milk. I'm thinking of naming him, "Shazam," but haven't settled on that yet. I only shot a few pics as he's supposed to be settling in! LOL.

Hope you like him as much as I do!!!

I know they're bad pics... but I'll definitely get more of him later!!

What do you think of the name "Shazam"?

Gorgeous Fred, but I thought the wife said no more snakes!
Thanks, Jenne!

She did, BUT, since one passed away and another sporadic feeder (sadly) looks to be going that way, she hasn't said anything. She knows how important they are to me and is very sympathetic (lucky me), if tolerant. LOL.

When did you get the Leucistic Black Rat???

Next to hoggies, black milks might just be my favorite reptile! Keep him cool, and don't use him as a garbage disposal (it'll be temping if you breed other snakes). They have a tendency to get fat. Or thin and skittish of kept too warm. On the grown ups I aim for 75 cage temps, and give 'em one hide with a hot strip. They're a cool, high elevation species.

Thanks! I'll keep this in mind. I've already got one garbage disposal anyway (my goini/brooksi whatever). LOL.

Early November. I've been so busy, I haven't really been able to take many pics to post. I have pics of him but they aren't very good.

I'm sorry for the trouble you're having. I'm glad that you're wife let you get another, black milks are gorgeous.

YAY! :D You finally got your Gaigeae! Go you! :) I'm so happy for you.
I agree with what Elrojo said about the temps. I keep my Black milk at room temp (Usually at around 74 or so), and he does really well at those temps.
You should definitely do a progression thread. We'll have a race to see which of ours get 100% black first. :D

Here's one of my breeder females with a customer. I've posted it before, but this was a cool moment with a kid whose mother was patting her chest at seeing a hatching corn!

She's a little in the blue, but you get the picture. This kid now has a beardie and is taking great care of it. This is when I don't miss construction!

VERY kewl! Whenever you get around to posting those pics, I'll be in line to see! I ALMOST got one from Jeff, but had to rethink it since the wife used those funds for something else... :( He was such a pretty guy too!!! If he's still around in a few weeks.... LOL.
About the troubles... yeah... I just checked and Cherry was gone... :( I had just bought her BRAND NEWBORN pinkies too... Guess I'll feed them to my little ghost stripe girl who should be moving up a little in size.. but two tiny pinks should be good.

Kewl!!! Thanks for remembering that I've wanted one. I've been REALLY kicking myself for passing on it in September. Luckily, I've got a great friend in Jynx who keeps tabs on me now and then (Thanks, Catherine!!).

That is an AWESOME pic, Chip!!! Thanks for sharing it! She looks gorgeous (even with "blue eyes"). How big is she and how long did it take to get her to that size? Good thing to look forward to!

I'm so glad to see that you love him Fred! It will definitely be fun to watch this trio grow up! We'll have to do a massive Az Black Milk Progression thread :D

Well if the name Shazam doesn't fit it should be the Flash (another great superhero). Because he certainly is flashy & handsome. Congrats Fred I am glad you have one & sorry for your other losses.
