A new Bull: Albino White Sided.

I has nuttin to Say.
yeah, I was at our herp meeting last night and Dav Kaufman (aka director from Herpers) was selling some bulls.

We both didnt realize until after the fact of me buying her and looking at her that she had a slight kink in the tail, way below the vent. He assured me it was ok but to let him know if she has problems. Didn't feel any other kinks on this girl. I typically shy away from animals like this but we shall see how she does. This could be something as simple as her tail getting caught up in a tub.

I think the tail will work out.. its only on the tip and when I traced the back, the spin feels good. But thanks every one. I really liked her when I saw her.

I personally do not think there are enough Bull breeders out there. I know KJ has his Reds and I am hoping next year I can get a pair.

But as there are people here who has a variety of morphs, we rarely seen them in the bulls and its a shame. I think this animal has a lot of potential to being a top keeper. heck, its a snake I would even recommend to David. lol Its not a newb snake but for someone who has kept corns for a few years and wants to take the next step to a larger snake. I still think this is it. Not a boa or a python but a Bull.

Cool looking guy you have there jim!

Have you talked to Kare or scott (i think scott owns the bulls) from SNS about their bulls? When i was there last week they had a bunch of neat looking bulls.. but I'm just not that into them.. but i knew you are!

Mike, I have talked to them about it. lol
He didnt have any luck this year with them. He also got a bull from Dav this year as well.

Years ago, I got a het for albino male from him. If my big albino male is not producing, I can put him with my het albino female and see how she does with him as well.

Well, to each his own. In my experience it takes quite a bit of work to kick the aggressiveness out of them...
It depends on taste really...
I agree that this could be a good "second level snake"- but... we're not living in a Nintendo game either I guess... we all end up liking on snake over the others at some point, and it could be a first grader, second grader or "only for experts".
I got to the point where I kept a GTP, but I ended up loving my BCI's a whole lot more because of their character and appearance

To each his own, good luck with spreading the word :)

One of the problems with boas is they do have a bad rap here in the US. Many cities and townships do have laws keeping them as pets. They typically put out the 6 foot rule to keep people from having them. I know there are many dwarfs out there but again, its a boa.

And to be honest, I have seen more aggressive Boas that never calm down even with age compared to a bull. Eventually you can make a bull snake handle-able while a 24/7 PO Boa will ever calm down.

It's a matter of handling... I dunno, I have 7 Boas, all of which are incredibly docile... and I can really really get in their face and poke'em... they graciously accept it :)
I have the exact opposite with the Bullsnakes.

Ah well, if you like'em and they work for you- that's great :)
