Well it hasn't snowed much in the city yet this year, but the mountains have had their fair share.. The last two years have been great, the mountains have been covered in snow, down to much lower elevations than usual. I love it... Here are a few winter in Vegas pics :)

This was a very foggy day.. January 20th

It was too beautiful out, I had to drive up the the road you take to get to Mt. Charleston to take pictures instead of going straight home after work.
Looking towards mt Charleston

Thanks for looking :)

Great pics! Thanks for sharing them with us. It's amazing to me that even Vegas(even upper elevations) gets snow caps.

Yeah I aam happy we have gotten more snow the past few winters. Its crazy to see the desert covered in white when you are not used to it..

Thanks everyone :)

You know Steph, I have been to Vegas 4 times and never once noticed how close the mountains are to the strip. Very cool pics. Thanks for sharing!

Yea..it's kind of annoying have such a major aggravation so close to such awesome natural beauty. Ask Steph how well I respond to getting to close to that city when I'm there... I don't even have to enter the city proper before I start getting annoyed and aggravated. Just being on the highway skirting around the city puts me in a foul mood...

Oh yeah, lol just driving through the city to get to the mountains on the other side was hell for Chris. Imagine living in it everyday.. LOL You know I live right by that subway we ate at now Chris?

The mountains appear a lot closer to the strip to cause of the snow, they kinda popped with all that white..

Thanks guys :)

WOW....your pictures make me miss the desert so bad!!!! They are so lovely, I will be checking out grad schools in NV for sure. :p

These are gorgeous! I love the purplish one and the one of the strip with the mountains looming in the background. The contrast is so striking.

Beautiful pics Steph!! It must be great to live there! Here's what I woke up to this morning. 23 inches @ 8:30 am & still snowing.

sorry 22 inches @ 8:30. 23 inches total. Just finished shoveling the driveway. Time for a cold pint
