Thats it folks....... Thanks for looking......
Now do you see why I like Morelia? LOL

Those are gorgeous Morelia! I guess I didn't know that GTPs were in that genus. I'm probably one of those people who could benefit by people posting latin names of their snakes.

Scientific names, Nanci..... Some are taken from Greek..... LOL
IMO Morelia are the most exciting species as they take in some of the most interesting snakes, from carpets and Scrubs to GTP and all their sub species....
Thanks for the comment.....

Yes, I completely understand why you love Morelia lol...Beautiful snakes, and I hope your Green Tree Pythons have a successful breeding...Looks amazing :)!.

The problem I find with the GTP is I never see a hook up....
Being nocturnal they do it in the dark, when we are not about.... During the day they just appear to be coiled together.......
Time will tell if they like each other....
That lucky boy is having week about with two females ATM....

lol, "lucky boy"...You sure do love your Morelia ;)!..Really though, that's cool you have him paired with 2 females..That would be incredible to have two litters of GTP's, and I wish you the best in getting them to breed..Baby GTP's are beautiful!.

Gorgeous bunch! But my heart belongs to GTP's when it comes to Morelia. I LOVE the last shot. Such a beautiful snake.

Thanks for the great comments guys.......

They are a brilliant species and quite straight forward to look after, as long as you follow the rules, an they ain't hard to follow..
Here's a pic that I really like.

And here's another one that I would like to prove out this year....
He's been with two females this year and we've seen locks.....
Both females are proven ..... So come on son.... It's up to you now...
No pressure.... LOL

Jag is a morph of the coastal CP....
They get bred to jungles (co dom gene) = 50% jungle jag..
Jag = pattern, jungle = yellow....
50% jungle jag bred to a jungle = 75% jungle jag. (50% jungle x 25% jag 25% jungle)

The jungle always adds 50% of the genes...
The percentage = jungle...... What is left over is Jag.

Very nice. I saw Tempest and Brutus hook up, but never saw Barney and her hook up. You can see them if you are around at the right time. Brutus hooked up right after the lights went out that night and was still at it when I got up the next morning.

Green Trees used to be in the genus Chondropython (hence the nickname "Chondros")...switched to Morelia awhile back (can't remember the year offhand)
