Now I'll have to do a little research on the Aztec mutation. This is the result of a Lavender het amel X Crimson.
 
I'm in love! i love the dark collor morphs of the corns! lavender, ghost, anery etc.! really hard to get in the netherlands!
 
Surprise Aztec/zigzag

I have also had the occasional aztec/zigzag patterned hatchling show up in a clutch from parents with no known aztec/zigzag genes. I've kept a couple and will be breeding the oldest, a normal het butter, in 2003 to a zigzag het snow. The below pic is of a 2001 ghost het motley. I haven't decided yet what to breed her to in 2004.
