09 1.0 Caramel Bloodred poss. het. Hypo Lavender

I'm not trying to be a jerk. All the amber bloods and caramel bloods I seen were not so nice as they grew up. Maybe I'm wrong and I have not see enough of them to see a adult with both stunning color and diffusion. it is hard to find a real nice normal bloodred no less combo blood morphs. I have a amber blood adult and I have to say my common amber blows her away. Your animal has very good diffusion. I hope for you it comes out better than my animal. It was more diffussed as a hatchling.

I know what you mean Vinny. At first, I like your Amberblood! Nice to see another bloodline. Here in Germany, caramelbloods, sulfurs and amberbloods are MUCH more common than in the United States. I think nearly everyone has one or two somewhere in his hobby room. Most of them hatch with less diffusion and don't get nicer when they grow up. A few of them hatch with the normal "bad" carablood diffusion and grow up to some pretty things with less contrast. My male is 3/4 the same line like all the other carablood based morphs here in Germany, I think this clutch produced one of the best, maybe the best, carabloods and amberbloods I've seen here in Europe.

FYI parents & clutchmates

As you can see, the parents are everything but no high ends. The adult caramelblood is a good example for ouer german carablood/amberblood/sulfur line.
I really hope my animal will turn out to be a VERY NICE diffused, bright brown carabloodred and I'm pretty sure he will :grin01:

Yo bro those links you just posted show Eric Estrada saying you are a fag. no pic's of snakes

:grin01::grin01::grin01::grin01: THAT'S so funny :grin01::grin01::grin01::grin01:

good that you don't get me wrong :grin01:

I got a real good laugh at that one. I see what you mean. So then my animal if were normal blood would still be ulgy blood. My animal is from the mystery line. i have some real nice diffussed bloods. I ill have to line breed the caramel gene more into some of my more diffussed stock. . Her brother is a HLB het amber very diffussed. I lost all the eggs this year from the breeding so I will wait till next year. She is het lavender.

It's really a pitty that the caramel based bloodmorphs tend to show less diffusion. Walther Smith showed a very nice caramelblood from rosacea lines a few days ago, maybe this is a more promising way than pure line breeding?

I keep my fingers crossed for a sucessful clutch next year from your animals. Peachbloods have to be screamers!

To be total honest there are a lot of crappy bloods here in the states. I have offed most of my collection and just keep the best of the best bloods and I'm still not happy with most of the one I have and I have some nice bloods. I got great diffusion and good saturation of color, but they are a little to orange for me. I see too many bloods here in the states that are light orange and hi contrast pattren.

We will just have to see what next year brings, thank you for the kind words

those were old pics she was still a subadult. here are pic I took today I would say she is pretty diffussed. I think the hypo has a lot to do with it. i see this in hypo bloods .

and today

Your snake and mine are very similar your snake is a little deeper in color than mine. Still both of our Amber bloods look crappy for bloodred morphs. Too much pattren. I really feel that the hypo is the culprit.

its hard for one year old diffused to be petternless. like all bloods they loose pattern es they grow and getting older. i dont think hypo has something to do with that

I agree, I have seen fires take 4-5 years to reach their max diffused look.

mine is about 4 years old. I'm very disapointed in her look. I know I have not yet to see a pattrenless hypo bloodred with hypo A, I dont know about all the other hypos and hypo types that are also homo for bloodred

My Hypo Plasma is 2 1/2 years old and he is almost patternless, if anything I think it's the caramel. I have had a few older breeders tell me that there is more to caramel than simple recessive.
John

I was not talking about other hypo a bloods. I ment like ultra, christmass, lava, ect. double homo animals . Her brother ther HLB het amber . I bred these 2 together and eggs died right before they hatched most were fully developed. I got hyop bloods, amber bloods, lavender bloods and some strage pinkish orange hypo blood ( peach ??? )
