10,000 B.C

Me and my boyfriend have been looking forward to this movie as well..Hope it's as good as it seems..I'm also looking forward to "Chronicles of Narnia" part 2...but that's just my liking for fantasy talking..hehe..but yea..this movie looks good :0)

I haven't looked forward to a movie this much since Lord of the Rings! It opens March 7. I hope it's as good as it looks like it will be... Found this link with a trailer and some more info :)

I have a funny feeling this was the story for the prequel to Stargate. I remember when that movie came out, they originally wanted to do a trilogy but they never got it green lit.

I cant wait for Narnia 2 either! It might be weird, but I loved the first one. As for 10,000 B.C. I've been waiting to see it as well. It looks really interesting, even though my friends think its pointless. I dont care, Im still gonna watch it,lol. I think half of the movies they want to see are pointless, but I still go. They owe me.

Narnia... when is that one? I did like the first one.
I also wish there would be another "Clan of the Cave Bear" the first one with Darryl Hannah was really terrible.

There were a series of book about the Clan of the Cave Bear. I had read them and was really looking forward to the movie. You described it very well, terrible.

10,000 BC look like it will be good.

Wade, I have read them all but after the first one they went downhill... unless you like Harlequin romances set in stone age ;) But I think a good director could really do something with that story

It was a long time ago when I read them and I think the Harlequin romance reference hurt my feelings. I remember them as enjoyable, but as I said it was a long time ago.

Whoa that wasn't my intent... The stories just got a bit mushy and sensationalistic for me after the first book. Plus it was a bit of a stretch for me that one person would be the first to domesticate horses, dogs, make fire with flint, become a skilled doctor, cross a glacier unscathed, control a lion by voice command, and learn new languages at the drop of a hat. But it was still good reading :)

Oh yeah, she also had hot tea ready for her man every morning... I might name a snake Ayla some day if it cleans its own viv and does punnett squares

IMO Narnia was a good movie but that little girl, I hate her. It's just when you hate somebody for no reason, bad actors overall. 2 is probably going to be the same, or worse.
Now, about 10,000 BC, I heard alot of people complaining about how they got the facts wrong and stuff. I can kind of see that, maybe it's just me but at first (from the commercial) you get the mammoths so you think the Paleolithic times and stuff. Then you get a Mesopotamia, Akkadian style Empires, then Egypt with the pyramids. Kinda messed-up? It looks good nonetheless, but just saying.

At least there's no dinosaurs... the giant man eating ostrich things are a stretch though. But as far as special effects and story telling it does look good! Sometimes you just have to put what you know aside and just enjoy the movie.
I agree about the girl in Narnia too! (I think you mean the one who plays Lucy)

Pah, I'm willing to suspend disbelief in that obviously this things didn't all occur at the same time, but it's a hell of a ride if they did!
