Olahokagen!

Welcome! This place is great. You'll find all the info you need and more!
I'm also in Brooklyn, in Canarsie. What part of Brooklyn are you from?

Welcome from a former New Yorker! I resettled up near Boston after 40+ years on Long Island. Great looking Okeetee you have there...

Welcome to the forum! You definitely can't go wrong with an Extreme Okeetee, and especially with Don at SMR.

I think you chose very well! Also, that's so cute, "omg okeetee". hehe.

You guys from New York will probably all roll your eyes at this, but I'm watching Gangs of New York right now.

I'm enjoying it because I've just read Micheal Crichton's The Great Train Robbery, and much of the Victorian slang and quirks (pick pocketing women, for example) are represented!

Anyway, back on topic: Welcome again to this wonderful forum! There's an immense amount of knowledge at your finger tips in past threads as well as through the people who frequent the forum regularly today. This is the ultimate place for the Corn Snake keeper!

Thanks for sharing picture of your new snake. Make sure to update us with pictures as he grows. General rule of thumb with Okeetees (and Miamis) is the uglier and darker they are as hathlings, the more stunning they will be as adults!

Good luck and keep us posted!

Welcome from yet another transplanted New Yorker. First 16 years of life spent in Hollis, Queens.

Nope no eyes rolling here. I just borrowed Gangs of New York from a friend. Didn't watch it yet, but I saw parts and it looked cool.:)

Extreme Okeetees are so beautiful. When I can afford an order from SMR I will get one for my husband. I'll still do all the feeding and cleaning, but I may let him name it.

Howdy and welcome... I am rather new myself - I've only had my corns about 2 months, and have thoroughly enjoyed them so far.

I also use to live in Brooklyn (Park Slope) for about 5 years (band practice was in Williamsburg, and work was in Manhattan, so much fun) - but just recently moved down to NC. I definitely miss the sights and sounds and fun of NYC - but do not miss being cramped into a tiny apartment...
