14 egg/slugs

Bring it on.
I'm incubating anyways, just to be safe, but these look like slugs to me. Pairing was Hypo Snow male x Miami female.

Awww Robbie, that really sucks. If mom is still in good enough shape put the male back with her and try for a fertile double clutch. It might work. Not sure what the problem is this year, but it seems like a lot of slugs are being laid.

She's not a comfortable breeding size for me. Maybe after I get a couple meals in her.
Murphy must be working overtime this year. I already told him my snake room is a Murphy free zone!!! (Maybe I should just make a big sign that says "WELCOME MURHPY"... Maybe that would keep him away)

Probably global warming . . .

I'd be 99.675482374% sure those are slugs Robbie. The fact that your peat moss is sticking to the eggs like that pretty much seals the deal as far as I'm concerned.

But there's always that .3% (I like to round up) chance. :D I know it's probably hopeless, but I'm not chucking 'em until they turn yellow.

I'll save you some time. Cut one open, if the insides look like a thick gooey caramely ice cream topping then you're wasting your time. If it's a nice light (in color and consistency) then you may get super duper lucky.

Yes! It was thick, but it was also very light (in color). Kind of like a blend between the two. I'm still going to incubate the rest. Just in case. (It's not like I've got 30 some odd clutches and need the space! LOL)

Definitely not good luck! My girl doesn't even look to be gravid even though she had her pre lay shed (over a week ago). I am thinking she reabsorbed them. I guess I will be trying again later this season.

Murphy sucks :(

I'd do the same thing, Robbie. My ghost just laid 29 eggs today, and I can tell at least 11 are good, but the rest look like slugs to me. They are softer, smaller and sticky. A couple are kind of in-between. I cut one open--definite slug. But I'm like you, want to incubate them just in case!

Plus, some people on here have shown that even the ugliest of eggs can hatch out! Never count 'em out until they start smelling. LOL

Patience, friend. I've gone thru the same thing this year. Finally I put some moistened sphagnum moss in a pile in the viv, and a nesting box of sphag in the viv, and an old shoe box in there...gave her a variety of places to nest. Then on the 11th day, she decided the nesting box (which had been there all along) was the best place to lay...
;D

Guess what--I had to throw the slugs out...because they *did* start smelling!! At least there are still 11 good ones. Good luck with your clutch!
