It is pretty cool. Hanna and I are going to own a goat farm one day though. We are both crazy animal people and we really, really, really want to have goats when we grow up!
 
Wow, what a pretty Rainbow! My roomie has a baby Rainbow.. I need to take pics of him to update all the ones i got when she first got him :)

Prism is gorgeous..... I love BRBs and the more I see them the more I'm tempted to get one sometime in the future! What are they like taking care of??

Thanks! Well the biggest thing is you have to keep the humidity up. Temperature range from 85 to 75.. They get decently big.. As well as semi arboreal. So you need some room for them to be on the ground. It'd be nice to have stuff for them to climb on.. They seem to like it.

Trent I am a little late seeing these but Wow. You do have such a beautiful snake to be envious of. You took such great photos of her. Thanx for sharing them buddy.

Are they really temperature sensitive? I know the room I keep my snakes (though not a snake room) is typically anywhere from 82-87F but I've noticed it get to 90F at times (I'd say I notice it get that high only once every week) but that's when I turn the heater off for a while to let the temps drop a little bit. During the night it's anywhere from 72-80F though nothing much lower.
I was thinking that for a neonate, I could put a few holes in a sterilite tub to maintain the humidity.... How big should the plastic tub be? I haven't really checked out any plastic tubs lately, so I'm not sure how big they run these days... But could an adult BRB live in a plastic tub respectively? If not, do you think a 60 gallon standard tank would suffice?

Sorry for all the questions, these little guys fascinate me so much :D

No problem. Actually, I've read almost everywhere to not let there temperatures go above 88 F. 85 to 75 is the safe range.. I would imagine 75 or lower isnt to great for them either.. Every care sheet did warn about temps over 88. So I'm kinda worried about what I'll do in the summer. :awcrap:

Would humidity over 70% be considered "too much"? When would the humidity be considered too much? I wouldn't think humidity of say, 90-100% wouldn't be "ideal", but I am very new to learning of BRBs so I'm not sure.

I will have to check for the largest tubs the next time I stop into Wal Mart, maybe they will have a tub that will be big enough for an adult BRB....?? If, in the future, I get my hands on a lovely BRB I think I would consider a male, as I heard the males of most snakes tend to run on the smaller side anyhow.

Is it too much to ask if you could snake some pics of Prism's viv? I'd like to see how you have her set up :)

I would say 90-100% everyday all day long would be way to much. But I let mine go up to 80% everyonce in awhile. I try to keep it right at 70% though.

I will try to take some pictures tomorrow of the viv. It's just a 10 gallon with screen top. Then I have a towel over most of the tank.

Ok, so this will be posted on both threads that has pics of Prism in it. Some people were asking me what breeder I got her from.

Turns out he doesn't have a website, but is pretty well known I do believe. He gave me an e-mail for anyone that wanted to contact him etc.. PM me if you want the e-mail address.

His name is Norm Damm. I believe he is out of Ohio, but don't quote that one from me. Someone told me he was very very well known for his milk snakes. Which are beautiful milk snakes by the way. Anyway, whoever wanted the information, I did remember to get it this month. Lol
