2 pinkies or 1 peachy?

Hexadeci

When up-sizing a baby corn's food for the first time, do yall prefer to go with 2 pinkies or 1 peachy? He's still too skinny to go straight to fuzzies (which look HUGE to me).

I have no idea which one would actually be easier to digest (pinkies are skinnier, but 2 of them is a lot longer of a food bump). 2 pinkies is probably more food by mass, but peachies are maybe more nutritional.

how much does your snake weigh? I think moving up to 2 pinks is a pretty common way to feed. That is what we did. Search for 'Munson Plan' on these forums. Gives a pretty good guideline of what to feed at what weight.

About 30 grams. There's enough variation in different Munson plans (some don't even mention peachies and go straight from pinkies to fuzzies) that I thought I might as well ask the specific question.

Peachy? I've never heard of that term. Then again, only recently did I find out about weanlings lol.

My sons snake is 30 grams. We just moved from double pinks (which Ember was on for a couple of months to a small fuzzy - weighed about 4 grams.

Come to think of it, I'm not sure what a peachy is either. I have heard them mentioned before though. Just peach fuzz and not real fur? I imagine they must weight in the 3 gram range?

if you area only feeding one pink at 30 grams, definitely time to move up. If you can find a fuzzy on the smaller side, I am sure it will be fine. I actually weighed all of ours and bagged them separately. 4, 5, and 6 grams.

This is the version we are loosely following:

-When they're on single pinks (2-3g), I feed every 4-5 days. (Snake = 4-15g)
-Double pinks (3g x 2) every 4-5 days. (Snake = 16-23g)
-Small fuzzies (5-7g) every 5-6 days. (Snake = 24-30g)
-Regular fuzzies (7-9g) every 5-6 days (Snake = 30-50g)
-Hoppers (9-12g) every 5-6 days (Snake = 51-90g)
-Weaned (14-20g) every 7 days (Snake = 91-170g)
-Adult (24-30g) every 7-x days (Snake = 170+)
-Jumbo Adults (40-50g) every 7-x days (Snake = 400g+)

Note: Adult females are fed more frequently than adult males (especially following brumation). Females are fed every 6-8 days; males are fed every 7-14 days.

We kind of follow the tail end of each bullet. Like I say, at 30 grams and we just started on small fuzzies. And the one ember ate was even smaller than the 5-7 grams.

The larger pinkies I've been feeding have been 3-4 grams. The peachies are overgrown pinkies with the beginnings of fine hair (5-6 grams). Is that what you mean by small fuzzies? The things the pet store sells as fuzzies look huge! Then again, they also have small ones that look like pinkies, so maybe it's just size variation.

Peachy = peach fuzzy. Still pink but has fur. In between large pink and small fuzzy. About 5-6 grams??

I dunno then. What I'm calling a fuzzy is all white (fur) but mine are weighing in at 4 to 7 grams.

That link is actually really helpful. Now I know what to look for. My local pet store sells a huge range of things under the label fuzzy. Most of them had long fur (like the subadults) which was what confused me.
