2 Wild Florida corns

Okay, I generally do NOT support wild collecting, but that second corn in the first post would be a GREAT addition to anyone's Okeetee breeding stock.

Wonderful borders!

That one with the thick borders is awesome! Would love to see stuff like that here I'm texas

I went to highschool in Port A...I know Corpus well. Texas has some neat stuff too... If you hunt down in the valley, sometimes you luck out and find an abarrent/semi striped Emory Ratsnake... There used to be a bloodline of 'em floating around in the hobby but I think they've all dissapeared!

Agreed- I usually just take photos. Out of two buildings of snakes, only a small handful are WC animals. I needed some fresh unrealated blood for my Everglades Ratsnake group and the thick bordered corn will be a wonderful fresh influx of unrelated genes into a line bred corn project!

I do NOT agree with commercial collection/exploitation but have no problem with people field collecting a few pets (or adding some genetic diversity to existing captive bloodlines). For every live one we found there were 2-3 roadkills... urban expansion is the real threat to our native wildlife!
