You guys are crazy. I will have to say that the Pats are not and were not the only ones to do this. The camera was taken away before the end of the first quarter and actually had no barring on the game what so ever. The only difference between the Pats and the rest of the league was the fact that the NFL security made a big stink about it. I am also pretty sure that Eric Mangini didn't want or expect it to go to this length. Now let me think about it, I don't understand, how does a guy with a camera take what he video tapes and then relay that information to the sidelines and then have the coaches relay that information to the defense and have them call a play all in 24 seconds between downs. You know why I don't get it, because it can not phisically happen, that's why. So I suppose the Pats "Inside Information" made it so they could tell their special teams what to watch for so Ellis Hobbs could return the longest kickoff return in NFL history (108 yards) and I also suppose it helped them to tell Randy Moss to completelydismantle the Jets coverage and to also smoke not 1, not 2 but 3, count them
3 defensive players on his touchdown jaunt into the endzone. Now as far as the punishment....let me think about it, let's see anyone of you pull $250,000 dollars out of your pockets like Kraft has to and on top of that let's see you pay $500,000 (half million) that Bellicheck has to pay and on top of all of that, lose a first round draft pick if they make the playoffs and a 2nd and a 3rd if they don't. So to say that the punishment didn't fit the crime I will have to say you are wrong especially when it was something the Pats did that wasn't any different then what other teams do. This is something that has been admitted by other players in the league as well as other coaches. So if someone now wants to call it cheating you call it what you will then. I believe football is a game of strategies and you do what needs to be done to get the competitive edge. Now what is the difference if there is someone on the sidelines with a camera or if the Pats have someone on their own sideline watching the other team for signals? I will tell you....absolutely nothing. I also thought it was part of the strategy of the other team to mix up their signals not just for themselves but to keep other teams on their toes and make for competition. Now you are all going to say, Jay, your just saying this because you are a Pats fan. No, I would be saying this if it were any team. Any advantage is a good advantage, it just matters who utilizes them best. The Pats will now officially declare war on the rest of the league. See you in the Super Bowl!
