On another note... Dallas, at 0-2, is the victim of some horrendous calls on the field... It all should "wash" in the end, but they're in for some really BENEFICIAL calls soon. The "strip" call on Roy Williams should have never happened as FORWARD progress had been halted and the play should be DEAD...

I thought they should have blown the whistle for forward progress, too. Even still, how can you rack up 400 yds of offense, hold the other team to 1/11 on 3rd down conversions and still lose?

They've got to get over this "10 play 70yd drive" with no score business. *Sigh* This next week is do or die for them. If they can get out a win going into the bye, maybe they could try to squeak out a wild card spot, if not, I think they'll be lucky to go 8-8.

Without a doubt, its the coaching IMO. They aren't utilizing the talent and getting players ready for the game.

I hear ya... it is HORRIBLE to see them go all those yards and NOT SCORE??? WTH???

Yeah... next week is it. We'll have to see...

You know... I can't remember if it were you or someone else. I really like the idea of keeping Wade Phillips on as DC and getting a really motivating coach, like Tony Dungee in there. I kept thinking about that and wonder if Jerry Jones is even thinking along those lines.
 
Forget about my Fantasy Football teams. Forget about my Pickem'.... But why oh why did the Ravens have to lose against the Bengals to put the Steelers #1 in the division. Just stupid! We should have had no problem scoring more than 15pts against those sorry Bengals, and Flacco blew it!!!

Definitely not a great week of the NFL for me!

How about the Bears beating the Cowboys, though? Or the Upset against Minnesota? The Jets laying the smack down on NE, Houston Beating Washington in OT, Or Vick getting the start against the Lions and playing really well??? It was such a wacky week, which I personally wasn't too fond of, but I must admit that it definitely ups the intrigue for next weeks games.

Will Vick be named the permanent starter? Will the Cowboys lose all hope by falling 0-3 against the sizzling Texans? OMG!!!
 
LOL, Michael. I understand the disappointment you feel with the Ravens... esp. with the Cowboys being 0-2... It looks like the "other" Texas team will be dominant this year.

Well, maybe others have said similar things - but that's what I've said before that I wish would/could happen. Keep Philips on as defensive coordinator and get in a real head coach and fire Jason Garrett (or maybe keep him on as qb coach or something, but definitely NOT offensive coordinator).

Some of the guys on the local sports talk show this morning were speculating that Jerry might fire Philips and bump Garrett to interim head coach - that would be disaster IMO. He has clearly shown he can't run an offense, that should be a top 3 offense in every category yet has only scored two touchdowns in 8 quarters?! Let alone run an entire team.

Only problem is that I think you have a tough time getting a legitimate coach with them playing 2nd fiddle to Jerry. If Jerry is serious about another SB win - he needs to step out of the way. I can appreciate his passion for winning, but his penchant for signing flashy players (Owens, Bryant - though Bryant has looked like he will be a super star) and not fulfill gaping holes (O-line!) tells me he just doesn't get it.

What's the point of having a $15k chandelier in a house if the house's foundation is crumbling?

Hey, it is only week 2, Joe. Anything can happen. I worked my way up to #2 from mid-pack last year.

Anyway, I'm sure that by the time you get up here, someone else will have had time at the top.
 
It happens every year. Everyone panics two weeks in. Give it a couple more weeks and things will settle down.

Some tough ones this week... Will the Cowboys go 0-3??? I AM picking AGAINST them today... but REALLY hope I'll lose this one.

Saints are really high... but the Falcons have been playing really well too... MIGHT be my upset pick of the week.
 
I've been debating with myself back and forth about the NO/ATL game.

The game I will definitely be watching on tv this morning, though, is the Minn/Det game. Gooo Vikings! They have to win.

LOL. Me too!!! We only have a few more minutes to "change" them again!!!

Reggie Bush is OUT which SHOULD be a factor... but I think he's overrated anyway... so IMHO that makes him NOT a factor... which doesn't help me pick. LOL.
