Ok so i went to a friends home today to see his new corn baby . It was a really cool carmel motly . The thing is the whole time i was there she had her mouth wide open wondering thru the viv. What the heck is that????? He said she was doing that when he opened herebox .. she stops for a few minutes and goed right back to doing it..my first thought was stress and she was going to regurg . But nothing came up the whole hr i was there.

I read that when snakes have their mouth wide open for a long period of time, it can sometimes be due to a respitory infection and can be helped by removing the water dish from the cage and monitoring the temperture or increasing the heat a little? I am not 100% sure of this, because I've never dealt with it.

That is not normal. I would suspect respiratory infection. That snake needs to get to a vet.

Agree with Nanci regurge usually happens pretty quick after they open there mouth to do it there is also some sign of heaving. Were you able to see her breathing rise and fall of the body cavity? The reason I ask about the breathing is sometimes when heavily stressed they will open there mouth and breath very rapid almost panic like. I would still take her to the Vet ASAP like today if possible. IMO it pays to be overly cautious.
Hoping for the best for her

I would bet it is a RI. It's particularly important to get that taken care of because most snakes only have one functioning lung, and a RI that is not treated quickly can turn into something much more dangerous. The snake will probably receive a series of shots over the course of 1-2 weeks. During that time make sure your friend is not stressing his snake out any more than necessarily by handling her when he doesn't need to. I also would not feed the snake during those couple weeks so that she can put all of her energy towards fighting the infection, and not digesting a meal. Good luck!
