if you think for 1 split single solitary second that this war has nothing to do with those oil fields over there, you're in dreamland. it's a well known fact that EVERY oil venture that Bush got involved in went belly up. he knew that as long as Saddam was in charge over there, he'd never have access to those oil fields. so now, he gets Saddam out, puts in a Bush approved government.
Make this statement to somebody who lost a loved one on 9/11. . . .

i know Saddam was a vicious man, and needed to be outed, but the fact is Bush lied. there never were any weapons of mass destruction, and Saddam hasn't had the means to make any since the gulf war of the early 90's. That came from Bush's own secretary of defense.
Do you honestly believe Bush makes uninformed decisions . . . you are obviously a conspiracy theorist. 100's if not 1000's of individuals from around the world had to have supplied information in order for our President to make the decision to go to war.

Look at all the "bally-hoo" over stem cell research. 2/3 of america is for it. out of the 1/3 that aren't, half of them said they'd be ok with it if it was done with embryos that would otherwise be thrown out. this is all statisticly speaking of course. yet , bush says he'll veto any attempts to further stem cell studies. he puts his own beliefs ahead of what's best for the country as a whole. If 2/3 of america is for it, that's the majority, and in a democracy, majority rules. bush just needs to go E.A.D.
Joe already refered to this, but I'll repeat by asking if you paid attention in history or government class. Even if the President vetoes it, 2/3 of congress can pass it without his signature.

Oh, I totally agree with so much of what you say. Bush is at the best of times little better than a trained chimp with a set of golf clubs...kinda funny to watch...but really terribly tragic.
It's amusing that the fattest, poorest states with the worst unemployment, lowest levels of education and most inbreed residents were also the ones who voted for Bush, huh...
Your comments would hold more water if you were actually from a country that had lives taken due to the activities of terrorists. Maybe the Swedish Bikini Team can save the world since Bush is so clueless . . .

go ahead and try to goad me into a fight, it won't work, i don't argue with people like you.
I can think for myself, and pretty much don't care about your pissing match with Joe, but you pretty much lied . . . you are arguing with him by simply responding . . . too bad . . . again, go get your government books and find out how a bill can become a law. The pres does NOT have final end all say.

I'm friends with a number of Americans . . .
Hmmm, I have a few black friends, a couple Korean friends, a few Hispanics and maybe even a Jew or two. But wait, they're all Americans! I don't have any Swedish friends, they're all in Sweden. My Russian friends left for home too . . .

I just think that when (the people of) a nation become/s too focused on how great it is and how superior it is to others, it looses the ability to stive to be better. The same applies to people in many instances.
And where exactly does this come from? Where in this argument was it stated that we are better than anyone else? I think the arguments started with an American calling OUR president an idiot, then a Swede called most of our country fat, uneducated inbred voters . . .
Lots of good stuff posted here over the last few days, it was tough to catch up, but the above quotes stood out the most to me . . . .another dumb, fat, lazy, inbred, American who's better than anyone and everything else carrying my gun in one hand and a beer in the other . . . :wavey:
