The One an Only Kuro....
I just got her yesterday and took these pics before letting her settle in.


Ember is a 2007 Argentine Boa(Boa constrictor occidentalis) so she will get big but not to bad. Had got 3 corn snake hatchlings the day before i got her but i saw her and saw how beautiful she is and i held her which was the deciding moment once i held i couldn't put her back so i bought her. She has the best temperament so tame and relaxed thats what did it to me i have met very few boas with a temperament like hers


She will be my last snake for awhile and defiantly my last 'big' snake as i don't have room for another snake that'll get as big as her or my dumeril's but she was the best choice for my last snake she's very beautiful and i love her to bits already.

I LOVE the looks of your beautiful new girl. I'm not a morph expert or anything close, so I can't tell if she's a high quality or low or in between, but I love the look of a nice healthy snake. She's gorgeous to me, and looks like she's enjoying her new home. Congrats! :cheers:
 
LBoz- thanks. I may be a bit biased but i think shes a very pretty boa even though shes a normal and is maybe nothing special to those who know boas better then me but i find her very goregous.

Tula- thanks for the compliments on her..means alot coming from you. No pics of her set up though i could probably get some. no rack, she is for the current time being in a 90 quart sterilite with air holes drilled in.
 
Lol why would it mean a lot coming from me, my opinion is no better than anyone elses :p

She is an exceptionally coloured argentine though. I would have an army of them in a heartbeat if I had the space.
 
because you are the boa lady and i really love all your boas..ecspecialy Brutus! your one of my favorite people here on CS.com.

She is very beautiful...the guy i got her from had a male argentine there also and he had a lot more black and was darker in general then my Ember is but he was kinda mean so i didn't hold him. If i had the rooom i'd take another argentine or dumeril's as well but alas i live in a very tiny hous that getting filled to the brim with snakes.
 
Argies generally do really darken up as adults. My favorite type are solid black (not dark brown) adults. If you sold some worms you could get more boas ;)
 
True but then i'd start missing the worms and would end up buying them all back. I'll just have to wait till i move to a bigger place or invest in a rack so i can have a couple more boas
 
How do you heat your tubs btw? Do you just use ambient heat?

You should deffinatley invest in a rack, I couldn't have the snakes I do without my racks...
 
for the colubrids i just use ambient heat but for my pythons and boas they have UTHs attached to Rheostats. The room their in never gets below 75 an never above 83 so it works out quite well. have not had a problem with anything everyone is healthy and growing and they all digest their meals well are never overheated or to cold.

That rooms air temp is strictly monitored so that every snake is happy, healthy, and not to hot or to cold. It doesn't sound like the best heating plan but it works just fine for me
 
She's so beautiful! You need to ask for a rack for your birthday or Christmas!! So, do you still have the three corn hatchlings, too??? And did you ever get that cham, I don't remember.
 
Nanci- yep i got the 3 hatchlings the day before i got Ember, they are of the normal, hypo het charcoal, and hypo. charcoal aka Phantom morphs...2 girls 1 boy and the hypo and phantom are clutch mates. never got the cham..was to expensive so got a snake instead.


Ok if i don't go to the Netherlands for Christmas i'll ask for a rack but if i do go it'll have to wait till my b-day cause going across the ocean is a serious chunk of cash.
 
BCO? Oh my god.. You are living my dream... there are no legally imported BCO up hair sadly :( so everything has been smuggled.. so i refuse to work with them.. i wish i could get legal "O"s!
 
Ryan- yep BCO 100%. Beside my Dumeril's she is one of my dream snakes to have and am really happy i got her. I wish you could legally get BCOs up there, they are a wonderful boa to have.
