Crazy Tarantula Lady
Here are two girls I'm keep from the last litter. A satin dove & tan and a silver & tan. I have a satin doe ready to drop and will probably keep 1-2 from her also.

I really like the doves too. I was surprised to see a satin as neither parent are one, there were 2 but the other was a male.
The pregger doe is a satin broken coat dove, I'm hoping for a nice selection of colors from her, if she doesn't eat her babies again. I would love a nice satin black & tan.

Cute! Congratulations!

Where did you get your mice from? I'm from Boise, Idaho and I've only seen red-eyed whites and a few spotted mice that were black or brown. All of them with a standard coat.

Anyway, congrats again!

I'm from North Idaho, most all the small pets stores carry feeder mice in many colors. Try to find a small family owned place, you will probably have better luck.

Yes, natal rats, african soft furred rats, multimammate mice...

They're all I really breed these days, except for the occasional domestic rat litter.

My new ball puthon loves the natal rats.

I'd like to give the natal's a try but I don't think I'll ever find any around here.

They're spreading out slowly, although they're not legal to own in some western states so you might want to check in to that.

They've turned into some very productive consistent breeders. After all my complaints of them biting, the original 2 females seem to be the only ones that bite. Knock on wood.
