well Ive had my 2 corn snakes for about a year now.. this would make them yearlings.. well ones a male Amel and ones a male anery well ive seen lots of pics of yearlings/sub adults and they ALL look bigger then mine and mine arent that fat there more long then anything is this a problem?

i feed them 1 hopper every 7-9 days(depending on payday)
 
Sounds like they're a little behind.......

Every 7 days is more the norm until corns reach adulthood. My yearlings from last year have been eating adult mice for several months.
 
well mine were both hatched out last september.(EARLY) and they still are only eating hoppers(and Slowly at that) im just wondering why they arent growing as fast as usual... Do you think there not getting "Fat" because they have soo much room? and are always roaming around they both have a 5ft long 3ft wide Tank Heat pad water dish 5 hides Lots of branches and things hanging from top and Repti bark bedding. :shrugs:
 
Every snake is different in the amount it grows. I have a yearling that is eating hoppers right now. So I wouldn't worry to much. If you want to get it fatter, then you could offer to mice, one hopper and one fuzzie and see how your snake handles that.
 
Same here. Both are a little over a year, yet one eats large adult mice, and is 3 ft. long. The other is on fuzzies and is a little over 2 ft. and very slender. They're all different.
 
i jsut thot it was weird that Both are from different breeders and identical Size and girth eat same size.. but are housed in serperate tanks That ARE identical to eachother weird? :cheers:
