A Question about Donuts ;)

Hello!

Haven't posted very much in here yet, because my English isn' t that good, but today i have a Question, that only you can answer me, i think and hope =)...

My Question: Is there a special/ common Name for Donuts with Powdered Sugar on it?

The Reason of the Question:
At Hamm Expo in two and a half Week i will receive a little 0.1 Amel Motley, which has white Rings around the Motley Spots. That looks very pretty on Animals older than a half Year (i have seen it on the Father), and my Plan is to create a new selective breeded Morph ==> Amel Motley with broad white Rings around the Motley Spots (working with RevOk will be necessary i think), and i have to find a Name for it ^^.
At the Moment i call it "Amel Motley White Framed", but be honest, that sounds not very good, doesn't it?

Well, it looks like it is genetically (my little One is a Offspring of Mother/ Son- Backcrossing), because:
The Mother is a common Amel Motley with only a few white scales at two or three Motley Spots, the Son (father and brother of my Sweetie ^^) has really good, but thin (max. one scale broad) white Rings around the Motley Spots, and this on three Quarters of the Body...
Nearly the whole Offspring of eight Babys look the same, only two are normal looking Amel Motleys...

However, because it looks like it is genetically, i think about breeding a new Selective Breed Morph. "White Framed" doesn' t sound that fantastic, and therefore i like to know, if there is a common or specific Name for, yah, Donuts with powdered Sugar on it ^^.
Donuts aren' t that common in Germany yet (where i come from), but in the US, and yes, i will be very lucky and grateful, if you can help me with this Question.

Thanks for reading and your Answers in Advance =)!

Friendliest, Andreas (or simply "Andi", that will be easier ^^)

Donuts with powdered sugar= Powdered donuts. I think--I haven't had donuts in a while... Lol.

I would guess it's just a selective breeding thing, like Candy Canes, Reverse Okeetees, Miamis, and Okeetees... It just doesn't seem like the kind of thing that would be genetic. Maybe, but it doesn't seem likely. Good luck with it... "Powdered Donut" sounds cute! =)

Hello =)!

Yes, Powdered Donut sounds really cute ^^...
The Thing is, our german Breeders Gang ;) have to a big part never seen Amel Motleys like that, and one Breeder had said, when he crossed Amel Motley with RevOk, in the second Generation he had a bunch oft Amel Motleys with white Rings around the Mot spots ^^...

Then, under eight hatched Babys, six have the same remarkably white Rings like Daddy, only two are like Mommy.

Well, thanks for the Answer, i will see what i can do, and in three oder six Years, who knows, there are Powdered Donuts available ^^.

Greetings, Andreas

PS: It's a really good Name, thanks  !

My guess is it's just the RO influence showing through. I would love to see pictures, though... They sound gorgeous! =)

Ok, here is one Photo of my little Girl.
As you can see, there are small colourless Rings around the Spots, which will later turn into white, and this pattern goes all the Way down the Tail.

Excuse the slightly bad quality, the Pic is shot with a cell phone. For Photos of Mom and Dad i first had to ask the Owner ;)...
When i have the little One in my Hands, i will take a nice Pic with my own Cam and show it in here =).

Greetings, Andreas

I always heard them called powdered-sugar doughnuts. Be careful, though, because there is a new morph trade-named Powder. Amel/anery/charcoal/hypo. Jay Coombs got to name it because he was the first to produce it.

Pretty baby!

Joe, I think Hurricane is more in the "saddles" between the circles. Kind of like frosting on normal patterned corns.

This is Rayne, (Lavender Hurricane Motley), as a hatchling. See the dark rings around the Motley pattern... If he was an Amel, those rings would be white...

Hello =)!

Thanks for your Wishes, and i am careful with the Powder- Thing, thanks, Nanci =)!

The Lavender Hurricane Motley is really really an Eyesugar, if i may say that ^^!
Such a lilac, non- imported Snake you can search here in Europe until Christmas and Easter will fall on one Day ;).
Besides of this, i also thought about an Amel Version of Hurricane Motley in a quiet minute, and the Lav above shows this very well and understandably.

So ok, a well known Breeder of mine here in Berlin is going to hatch a clutch of High White out in these Days, and in these i think, i will look for a fine male for my Sweetie (a bad HW. more an RevOk, will do it also ^^) with nice big, white Outlines...

I keep you updated with Photos and maybe progression, when i have her here =)!

Best Wishes, Andreas/ Andi
