A simple question (AKA I don't want my mouse back)

I adopted my first corn friday night. He took a f/t full size mouse on saturday evening. I have been reading several books on keeping corns but there dosn't seem to be a consensus on long to let them digest after feeding before handling.
How long should i leave him before handling so he doesn't give me my mouse back?

If the food item was larger then usual, or he is just settling in, I'd wait an extra day before holding. Since you say you just got the snake, I'd wait for a week before holding him!

I'm with sarcare, I'd wait a couple of days longer than the recommended 48 to 72 hours, because he is a new aquisition, just to give him some time to get used to his new surroundings. You'll also get an idea of how long it will take for him to pass waste after feeding, if you just let him settle in, that way you will be able to avoid the days he usually defacates and won't end up with dirty clothes or floor to wash ;)

Oh by the way, welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy your new addiction :grin01:
