This is awesome, me and few friends of mine do stuff similar.

Most recently being Park Prewett Mental Hospital, which ran from 1917 to 1997. It's slowly being torn down now for housing. And people have (secretly) explored it for a few years. I have pics I can post if interested :)

Wow, I read the whole thing, you guys are very brave, both to enter a house of very little knowledge, and to do so at night! that cellar looks seriously scary, I can't say I'm a none believer because I did see somethings when i was younger.. the face in that window really really makes me think.. scary!! is that real???

well thank's a lot for sharing, there was a house like that round here, everyone said it was haunted, then someone bought it, and now it's one of the best looking house in my town lol, someone should consider claiming that house if they can.. although I'm not sure how all that works over there..

Interested.

I'm not a ghost person. I believe in the brain imprinting snippets from the imagination into visual information, and lighting and refraction effects producing strange shapes. The supernatural to me is about as realistic as the tooth fairy... I'm not one to criticise others for what they think though. Just my views.

Here are a few of many pictures we took, over two seperate visits. There had been times where two of my friends had gone, went into the first accessible bit (The huge hall) and ran straight back out, they went a little further with three, but with four or more and the experience is more fascinating than scary.

First Visit:
This was in the Dressing Room - they must have put on a lot of plays etc. it was right behind the stage in the massive hall.

One of the many wards, there were a lot of rooms like this, each had little things left behind.

A piece of paper that would be above a patients' bed, for example

Or a pillow, and some kind of bent walking stick/crutch

There were sinks by the doors in some of the wards

The second visit we explored more buildings, (the whole hospital grounds is massive). We found wards where all of the curtains were closed!

Another odd picture was when we crawled into a room with a stairs, and under it was lots of suitcases etc.

And my favourite picture, was near the kitchens, and though the paint was peeling off the walls in most rooms, this came out especially well.

I should point out that, like the house that Tanner posted, the only light was two torches and camera flash, it was pitch black in there!

lol thats some neat pictures i wasnt at this particular visit but me and my friend went at like 8 before it was completely dark so still some light and i know what you mean by the imagination thing thats how i was like before but more and different things keep convincing me differently so im not sure where i stand on that right now anyone else or marty have any more pictures they wanna share. oh and the house is owned by a company that wanted the land and there trying to sell it the old guy that lived in it before died 3 years ago and no ones lived there since then

I LOVE threads like these. I'm a firm believer in spirits and ghosts. I've had WAY to many experiences with them NOT to believe. Our house has been known to be haunted. A lot of my friends have spent nights here, and refused to do so again, afterwards. haha. It's pretty awesome. I'm also sensitive to "spirits" and the such, but I know it makes me seem/look crazy, so I dont talk about it much. My brother and our friends used to force me into cemetaries, and stuff to see what we could find.

:crazy02: I read thru that whole thread. On page two a little more than half way down someone posts about an old woman in upper right area of window, OK I see that but look towards her right shoulder behind vertical piece of wood and see if you see a youngish woman with shoulder length hair????
I do believe in ghosts I lived in a turn of the century house here in Oregon and we had a young boy, who walked around upstairs and we would see him on the stairs. He had red hair, around 10-12 years old, my kids even saw him and named him Danny. We still talk about Danny today. susan

i still dont know if i believe and my friend has the saem ting as you savvy cept i dont really believe her. She says she like goes into a little world and sees just other spirits or something and cant hear anything that people around her are saying but i dont even know and thats kind of cool im gonna look at that picture again and see if i see the young girl thx for the posts and stuff

oh god this stuff scares the hell out of me lol im 6'4 and 250 lbs and im scared of something i cant even see and i do see the young girl its ionly her face and like a really small head like shes in the background. lol i wont be bale to sleep tonight...

yeesh, I can tell stories about my apartment complex. Many people complain about seeing someone in their town home when no one is there. We have seen people in our place when that room was empty.

There was one night we were watching TV and I noticed one of my medicine jars turning over. It did not roll but turned in place, like being flipped over. I had to look around the coffee table to make sure none of our cats were near it causing the bottle to turn. While I was looking I did not say anything about the bottle but my girl friend looked at me and said "It you are not imagining anything it turned over." it was the strangest thing so far to happen besides going to bed with a bunch closed cabinets and waking up to them all being open.

Ugh, I hate this stuff. It scares me. :( Like, bad.
And UFOs.
Just from seeing those photos, I won't be able to go to bed without my boyfriend there.

That's awesome. I'm also a firm believer of ghosts/spirits. I've seen ghosts several times (or at least what I considered to be ghosts.) The whole subject fascinates and intruiges me.

Pretty damn cool thread. I have went "spirit searching" a few times in Edinburgh... Glasgow isn't half as haunted as Edinburgh. Although I didn't own a camera at the time (years ago) we did experience some extremely strange goings on...
