advice on regurge

I have just been to clean out my yearling and seen she has regurged one of her fuzzies. She has been moved upto double fuzzies for the last couple of weeks and has been doing fine, nothing has changed but today she has regurged one, she is due to be fed again tomorrow. What do I do do I leave her for a few days and cut her down to one fuzzie, any advice would be great. She weighs 80g if that helps.

I am not pretending to know much about snakes.....I am still a newbie, but I have read on here that a snakes pooh changes from pinkie to fuzzy. It is my understanding that there is fur in it and some have confused a pooh for a regurge. Does it stink really, really bad? If it is pooh it won't stink, but I guess a regurge is pretty unmistakable in it's smell....it supposedly stinks up the whole room.

Fortunately I haven't dealt with a regurge and hopefully never will......so again, this isn't advice as much as it is an idea.

If it is a regurge then definitely don't feed her again for at least a week, and feed her less at the next sitting.

Even if she didn't puke up her whole meal, any loss of stomach fluids makes digesting the next meal difficult, so give her some time to get it back before you feed again.

It's probably is a regurge and stinks. If so let the snake rest for 7 days to replenish its stomach bacteria. Make sure plenty of fresh water is avail. then after a week feed a small meal (pinkie if a hatchling) and keep the next couple meals small. gradually work back to regular size meals.

she is a yearling and going to leave her for at least a week, Kathy thanks for the link I got that yesterday from the chat forum and it was a great help. It was def a regurge she is on 2 fuzzies and the last one was a black one and was only half digested. Will put her onto a pinkie for her next couple of feeds and keep and eye on her.

She has gone from45g to 80g since moving her upto double fuzzies you dont think she has put on weight too quickly which is why she was sick??

The accepted length of time you should leave the snake to recover after a regurge is 10 days.

Please use follow link Kathy posted as this will give you the best advice on how to proceed.

Good luck.
