Age

Gintha

*stretches* I'm out!
Okie, is there any way to tell the age of your snake by looking at it? IE cats age is told by the teeth, as are most rodents... but what about snakes? Heard someone say on another board that you can tell by their belly scales, but I figured you guys would know better =)

Not really, especially not with any kind of accuracy.

Common sense tells us that a 15" snake isn't an adult, and a 50" snake isn't a juvenile. Other than that, genetics and environment vary the results. :)

Yep, I agree with CAV. We can't even say that a 15" snake is a 6 month old or a year old, just too much varience in the growth due to environment and genetics. All we can say is it isn't an adult yet.

Gee, don't we all wish we could look the same "age" all our lives till we get old and die? :)
