Amel + Anery + Caramel + Dilute... What odds...

New member
I'm newbie in snake.

And i have 2 snakes that i want to breed for.

They are:
- Margarine, male : Butter Motley (amel caramel motley)
- Elsa, Female : Blue Motley (anery dilute motley)

I've done my research, and cannot find any information about the illusive Amel Anery Caramel Dilute Motley morph.

I'm very confused, because this meant that i need to breed them without knowing what the grandchildren would look like. I know this can be surprise, but i prefer knowledge rather than luck. And this will surely be 2 generations project, means it will take me 5-6 years to succeed. I just dont wanna waste time if it turns out that their grandchild will be ugly as hell.

Would anybody please tell me what they would be like? Or point me to 'best boulevard'?? Thanks before..

Here's the results below

Male: Butter, Motley ( Amel, Caramel, Motley )

Female: Dilute Anery (Blue), Motley ( Anery, Dilute, Motley )

Phenotype:

1 / 1 Motley het Anery, Amel, Caramel, Dilute

Genotype:

1 / 1 Motley het Amel, Anery, Caramel, Dilute

i've done that before, not only there, but also in some different wizard website.
And i'm aware that the first generation will only produces het. That's why i've said this is 2 generation project.

What i'm asking is what will Amel Anery Caramel Dilute Motley looks like? Since i cant find it anywhere..

Since you know what the 1ST generation would be, you can enter their genetics to see what the 2ND generation would be. That was my point of the link.

Unfortunately the 2nd generation would be Normal Motleys with hets like the 1st generation.

There will be no surprises.

BTW... Welcome to the forum :)

WELL see what happened when I used it LOL
So much for guessing myself :punch:

AAaahhhhhhh !!!

GOTCHA

I seriously have to many species to stay tuned into corn genetics LOL :dunce:

Yap, the picture of those mysterious morph is what i wanted.

Thanks cornsaustria for catching my drift..

I also aware the possibility is quite unlikely, but if she is a beauty, then its worth a shot, otherwise, i wont waste my time, and just breed it to my opal butter

OH SURE !! It's obvious now what the question was now that I had 3 cups of coffee and the ole brain is de-thawed LOL .
apparently the only drift I'm catching is the 10 foot drifts of snow outside my door ! :crazy02:

I really need to stay out of genetics threads :dunce::punch::sidestep:

that's right, the most advance (hehehe..) example i can get is xanthic snow and dilute snow.
And you are right, hard to get something eye catchy out of this.. Maybe i just cancel the project rather than wasting my 5-6 years of time waiting for the not-so-good baby

i really do hope that there's more contributor for cornsnakes in the future, so that information sharing will be much more better than now. Honestly, cornsnake community sharing is nothing compare to ball python

well your first generation is going to be motleys So they will be nice snakes anyway.

Your second generation Is going to be interesting! They will all be Motley but it may be a 'rainbow' clutch. You have a chance of Caramels, Butters, Amels, Anerys, Dilutes, Snows, Xanthic Snows, Dilute Snows And hopefully a few of your goal morph, a motley snow caramel dilute (I have no idea what that would look like)

I think there may not be any pictures because maybe no one has produced a snake that is Motley with Amel, Anery, Caramel and Dilute.

Blessmeluck, I'd like to point out, that being critical of the forums here isn't going to make a good impression.

YOU started this thread less than 16 hours ago, Give people some time to respond, I"m sure a lot of folks have not even been to the forums yet, So they haven't even seen your post.

Give those people time to reply, maybe one of them has a picture of a Amel+ Anery + Caramel + Dilute + Motley corn snake.
They DO have lives outside of their snakes and the internet.

I dont know what offence you nancyg.
Maybe because english is not my mother language so i got the words wrong.

I dont meant that this forum is bad, what i meant is this ALL cornsnake forum, etc is not really sufficient compare to ball python's.

Lets says, the genetic wizard, there's a lot of incomplete picture of adult pic, ventral pic, even though the snake exist.

The cornsnake forum is quite good, but still behind ball python's.

As a cornsnake big fan, i just really hope that more people wants to share about their snake. That's all i meant, nothing more, nothing less..

Bless, we used to have a much more active community, but many (including me) seemed to have drifted away from the forums. I haven't been very up on genetics in recent years, but I seem to remember that when Anery is added to the mix Caramel is hidden.

I'd hold on to the Dilute Anery Mot female though.

Here's an example of a Dilute Granite male from John F. (Zorro).

Finally somebody on my favor.. ^_^

Now i got it,
If caramel is hidden when mix with anery, Is this meant that the jackpot snake i looked forward is Amel + Anery + Caramel (hidden) + dilute + motley??

So from the looked of it, it should be just like Dilute Snow Motley, isn't it?

If yes, then i dont see any good in pairing this 2, and maybe better if i pair it with the opal.

The fun with your original pairing plan is the sheer variety of morphs you can hatch out.

Normals, amels, aneries, caramels, dilutes, motleys, amel motleys, anery motleys, caramel motleys, dilute motleys, snows, butters, dilute amels, anery-caramels, dilute aneries, dilute caramels, snow motleys anery-caramel motleys, butter motleys, dilute amel motleys, dilute anery motleys, dilute caramel motleys, etc etc etc. There are literally dozens of potential morphs.

I am thinking that if a Amel + Anery + Caramel is almost solid white then you would not know dilute was there with out test breeding. But there are still some cool morph combos that would come out.

As far as the forum being slow to respond, it seems at least to me that many already have snakes breeding, laying and hatching. So they are out doing that as appose to checking the forum. From Sept-Hoildays you get more responses then you can read in a matter of minutes.
